They used all sorts of tools including a toothbrush and a fist and with great editing. Bravo! 👍

The amount of money and time spent on this car was more than the value of the whole car. Audi A6 isn't a masterpiece. But the entire team did a great job.

Excellent work... the car looks brand new again. If I can change just one thing though (and I know it is debated among mechanics), but I would torque suspension components only after the car is back on it's four wheels and rolled back and forth a couple times for everything to settle. I've personally seen instances when there are knocks and creaks after suspension work, due to things being torqued in an unnatural position.

it's not up for a debate. The rubber bushings will deform if you tighten the bolts before lowering the car. Also, the oil on the spark plugs does not spark joy 😅. They probably should have at least take the valve cover off and replace the seals. Did they even change the timing kit? I skimmed through the video.
This restoration must have been 25-30000 k euros easy, maybe even more. Amazing work!

I had a 2003 A6 2.7T…. I had it from new, and put about 170,000 miles on it….they certainly were not built for easy servicing…

@@arthurm4726 the one in the vid seems to be straight 4 turbo. 2.0 maybe? Either way, there's a few pretty good engines in that gen A6 and few absolute trash units.

@@PuerRidcully the 2.7 had to have the entire front end disassembled for even the most basic of servicing, parts replacement, etc.

@@PuerRidcully there was never a 2.0 turbo in the c5 a6. Only 1.8 turbo. 1.8 t i4, 2.0 n/a, 2.4 v6 n/a 2.7 v6 t, 2.8 v6 n/a 3.0 v6 n/a 4.2 v8 n/a

Fantastic!! Not only a great restoration but I have learnt a lot about my car which is the same model. Where do you get your parts as a lot of them are now on the obsolete list??
So wanted this car when I was 16.

У меня такая же только 2.4 , я даже не знаю на что мне пересесть после Ауди. Да, я всё понимаю старая,но менять на новое современное, что то нет желания.

This was a beautiful restoration/refurbishment. But, from a financial view, it doesn't seem like a wise job.
Did anyone notice they did not replace the leaking spark plug well gaskets?
At least to different cars in this video.

It's very likely car with some sentimental attachment of owner, maybe his passed father's car. Considering labour and parts costs, it would be much cheaper to buy some in mint condition from German pensioner.

yeah right, still clogged heater core, worn valve cover seals, engine rear seal, bad turbo waste gate, intercooler, diverter valve, oil cooler, ac dryer, etc..
