Maintaining the Singer Buttonhole Attachment Models 86662 and 86718

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If your Singer buttonhole attachment is not working well or you'd just like to give it some TLC, then this video shows you how to care for your unit.
I show how to remove the cover to get right into the areas that need lubricating.
You'll also be able to see how the attachment works as I operate the unit with the cover off.
You'll need sewing machine oil at the very least. Recommended - small flat head screwdriver, grease and a cleaning rag.

I have purchased an old Singer Buttonhole Attachment 86662. Works amazingly well. Thank you for showing us how to service it. I like my 1947 hand cranked Singer and will look for more of your videos . Thank you very much ..

Your videos are really informative. The one, about replacing a bobbin case under the plate, saved me £100 recently. Thanks.

I have a question I have a 99K and the thread spool came off it was in the thing that looks like a big screw but I’m told that isn’t where it goes. Could you please help me and can you tell me how to put one back in because it won’t go back into the silver screw looking thing. Thanks for any help.
