Lake Malawi Cichlids In The Wild Playlist
• Lake Malawi Cichlids I...
If I had to choose a favourite dive of the trip, Maingano would be the winner!
The water was crystal clear, an abundance of species and such a diversity of rock scapes to admire.
Watch out for the numerous MCAT/OB Mbuna, stunning haps and a huge catfish that gets a bit too close for comfort!
Thanks for watching and please feel free to share the video with like minded hobbyists.

One of the most amazing and beautiful freshwater habitats on the planet! I've kept hundreds of these fish over my lifetime and can't wait to keep them again on a much larger scale! Seeing them in their natural environment like this makes me dream of a giant tank (Thousands of gallons at least) where I can truly see their natural behavior! Love this, thanks so much for sharing!
when ppl ask why I always have so many rocks an caves in my tanks for my African cichlids, I will just show them this video, so they will understand why

This is incredible Marc! I can't believe I'm just watching this now. I hope your trip went surpurbly! So excited you got to go! Best wishes!
This is beautiful. And for fresh water, the visibility is fantastic.
After seeing all these fish in the wild, I have a feeling you are going to have a craving for a larger tank! Great Video Thanks!
Thanks so much for this video. I could watch this for hours. One of the things that stands out to me is the great debate on OB cichlids, and cross breeding being un-natural. Well, there they are. Stunning fish, in their natural environment. Amazing ...

we're There any peacocks in this footage or just mbunas and haps
I would like to get 80 Africans in an aquarium of 450 liters or 125 gallons, if you can? would you recommend? Thank you
Gorgeous fish in this video, anyone know the species of catfish at 16:19? Looks like a clarius species.
Amazing video! Thank you. I see no plants! I guess putting a plant in my cichlid tank was not such a good idea then?
@craigbartley4848

Other parts of the lake do have some plants. Besides, you can do whatever you want in your tank. Plants have good benefits for your tank if they survive your fish.
Awesome...lots of mbuna here....now I understand why Pulpican are a common import. looked to be a variety of BB Zebra with more blue then black here....need to do some research. Wicked video and those OB's are unreal....need to se some like this around here.
Camera quality is amazing 🙌
your tank is huge OMG
can any 1 please explain what do they eat in wild,i don't think there is enough food there,i have some of tyhem in my aquarium and i give them pellet's so i am curious?

I don't know but I think they're overstocked and there isn't even a FILTER on this tank! They didn't cycle it! They're gonna kill all their fish. Bad fish owners, thumbs down👎
Does anyone know where he is now ?
Pretty cool running into that Kampango cat. seeing a critically endangered species in the wild is bitter sweet
is lake malawi connected to hindia ocean?
what is the depth?

OB peacocks in the hobby are man made fish (You don't see them in the wild) OB/MCAT Mbuna are a natural occurrence in the wild. A morph so to speak. MCAT Mbuna male are quite rare.
