    I feel like it could be mostly split between the flanks (mostly scoot) and the pocket. Flank can keep track of enemy changes while the pocket keeps track of their tactics.

    My favorite thing about tf2 is the teamwork. This reminds me a lot of decentralized command and other leadership principles from Jocko’s book Extreme Ownership. (Medic main here)

    I think you should follow the roaming soldier before you go to push and do what he says and after he is done you follow the medic and pocket soldiers call to push in

    Here are my thoughts: Main calling is essential, I agree. I also agree that it should be limited to 2 people and that other people are allowed to call at any time, but I also want to ask you this: In my team, I, the pocket, main call from what I can tell (I have only played 1 scrim with them so far) but our medic makes useful calls as well, but he doesn't speak clearly and sometimes confuses me and the team mates. What would your advice be? I've brought this fact up to him before and he's gotten better but he mumbles and stumbles his words still. Often times his voice goes even goes over mine and then our strategy falls apart. Also, keep in mind I would love to have a second main caller as I can be very wrong sometimes seeing as I'm only steel and I always look for others opinions on certain situations. Also, one final question, do you do demo reviews for free? If so, could you review our match this Wednesday? :D

    Hey Mr slin I have been trying to get in to competitive TF2 but I seem to be having slight problems with tf2mate, when ever I join a lobby and it says ready up and I accept it, the website does not launch me in to the game and just leaves me as not ready therefore I get kicked, I tried clicking on the link that should connect u again but that also does not work, I don't have as block. if anyone has got any suggestions plz comment. Thanks

    Try getting a Comp Beta pass or looking up another competitive site. I know the passes are harder to come upon, so look up some other kind of good website to play competitive on. I don't know many sites because I only play the official beta, but I'm sure with enough research you can find something.

    Is that thing under the Über count the time span in which the enemy medic has been alive? And if it is, how do I implement it in my own hud? :s

  • @Marbl3Puppy

    @Marbl3Puppy

    8 жыл бұрын

    It's difficult to implement. He toggles it on when the enemy med respawns, so he gets an estimate of the enemy med's Uber %. I believe it counts to 100% over 55 seconds, because it's the average build time for an invite med.

  • @prodg1779

    @prodg1779

    8 жыл бұрын

    Oh I see. I'm guessing it's also possible to let it count to 100 in 40 seconds. But is there a way, to implement two seperate buttons; one that counts to 100 in 40 seconds, and one that does it in 32, as those are the times for an Über and a Kritzkrieg charge?

  • @Marbl3Puppy

    @Marbl3Puppy

    8 жыл бұрын

    BadrockLetsPlay You probably could. I'm just warning you, that 40 and 32 are in the most ideal situations. That's why SLIN used 55 sec. since it's the average uber build time for an invite med.

    Can someone help me out? Im a med main who plays 6's. I have 1000 hours (just hit it yesterday in fact), and for the longest time i have been trying to find a team to play with. Nearly a year have i been trying to be part of the competitive scene for tf2, but my limiting factor is my team. I have been through 4 different teams (1 HL, 3 6's). Throughout those 4 teams i have literally only scrimmed three times, and never played a single actual game. I just cant seem to find a team to play with. Without that i cant get better. Now there are quite a few issues that are my fault, but even so, can someone give me advice for finding a team to actually play with?

  • @erenoztorun6490

    @erenoztorun6490

    There isn't really a single trick that will instantly get you into a powerful and active team, but of course there are some things that can help. My main advice would to make connections. The more players you meet means that there will be a bigger chance to find a team that suits you. Having more connections allows for your image as a player to be projected further; you might be asked to participate in a pug, or you might even be asked to merc for a team in a scrim or match. All of this publicity will give you a much greater helping hand towards finding a team, so make sure that you are constantly welcoming new people and players into your network of opportunities. Keep a positive attitude and make a good influence. Aside from that, make sure that you're posting LFT (Looking for Team) threads on the forums of whichever league you want to enter, wether it be UGC, ESEA, ETF2L or even ozFortress, depending on where you live. Make sure to update and bump them regularly.

  • @erenoztorun6490

    @erenoztorun6490

    Keep an eye out for any LFP (Looking for Player) threads on the same website. I should also mention that TeamFortress.tv is a great website to make LFT threads on, however this mainly applies to 6s, and just higher level gameplay in general. My last piece of advice is to get your friends on steam to recommend you to other friends or teams. This will ultimately add to your network, and is a great way for finding a team to play on. And, of course, don't forget to add 'LFT' to your name. Try to find as many teams as you can to trial for, because the more you find, the bigger the chance is that you'll get accepted into one. Good luck and remember: make good connections, post threads and fov yourself a good image. Leaders won't find/ask you instantly, but after a fair amount of time and hard work, I can guarantee that you'll find someone. All the best! P.S. Sorry about the comment breaking up, I'm on mobile which takes away my ability to write a glorious single comment wall of text.

    It's how long an uber should normally take to build. If your uber is equal or higher than the bottom number, you're doing good. If your uber is lower than the bottom number, you haven't been building uber well enough

    in game sensitivity and dpi are meaningless by themselves. look up an inches per 360 calculator and figure out your inches per 360. most people play 6-12 inches per 360 but as long as what works for you works for you then it doesn't matter. there have been pros that play with less than 2 inches per 360 and others that played with 18 inches per 360. tldr you always hear people say use what ever sensitivity you feel best with. so use what ever sensitivity you feel best with.
