It's an unrealistic that doesn't apply to real life. In India, best thing you can do for your future if you are not already rich is a B Tech from IIT.

This is a glimpse of why our education system is so screwed up. I have had such unfortunate interactions with teachers in school and college. They abused and insulted me that I would be a complete waste. Today, I am more successful than the toppers of my school or college. Don't take insults and abuses from your teachers seriously. Have faith and belief in yourself, and your potential. AND always keep your supportive friends closest to your heart.

I feel so bad for students in India and Pakistan. Teachers make students life absolutley miserable. This is the age to enjoy your life and learn while having fun. I did my bachelors of engineering from Pakistan and came to Finland for studying Masters and then I relaized what a waste of time it was in Pakistan! Teachers were so mean and going to university was like some kind of punishment.
