Mercer is such an underrated character. Sure, at first glance he was cool edgy dude in a hood, But the fact that you are playing as sentient virus, a fuckin BOW from resident evil if you may, while the actual Alex Mercer was a cowardly scumbag responsible for the release of virus - was a damn underrated twist.

@SSJPrinceV1 I agree. While one could argue that Prototype has a more complex story line, or that infamous has more likable characters, I enjoy Prototype more because it really gives you the feeling of being unstoppable. It's the best feeling to plow through oncoming traffic, destroying everything in your path.

I loved this game so much. Still listening to this theme from time to time

Yeah, I get that. The reason I liked the first game is because there was intense action, and if you really looked into it, there was a pretty good story too that gave the game depth. Prototype 2 kind of ruined it for me.

@darth darth got some sand prototype 2 is hanniballistic (like this word you made; a mix of cannabilism and ballistics, perfectly describes prototype) catharsis. Prototype 1 is more like being hunted because you want to experience hanniballistic catharsis, and you feel that when the strike teams chase you halfway across the city, you feel that when the hunters never lose track of you, you feel that when the homing missiles are actually freaking hard to dodge unlike 95% of other games. prototype 2 is the ultimate power trip, but I reckon Prototype 1 offers much more in it's ability to beat you down without remorse, because fighting back against those hunting you, and winning? it's the ultimate thrill.

@@we-must-live If you want to get good at dodging Prototype 1 missiles, play the game on hard without powers and only consuming to progress the story or upgrade weaponry. You'll be dodging point blank missile shots.

Sascha is just an another level. I love his works!

So much nostalgia just from a main menu. I remember playing this game for the first time back on the xbox360 over a decade ago with my uncle and just being addicted to the world and what was going on. I thought Mercer was such a cool character, and the powers were beyond fun. While looking back, the story wasn't anything too crazy it still was a really solid game. I would love this series to come back someday, but knowing the modern state of Activision, I can't see it happening.

Good thing with infamous is that you decide whether you'll be good or evil and get the depending missions. I have played both and can't decide which one I like most. Maybe Prototype because you get more abilities than Infamous. My opinion though ^-^

Cleanse those who did cruel consequences and prevent the deaths of millions from corrupted individuals. Plus being a virus you're literally constantly evolving Daily and immune to other viruses simply by having the blacklight finding cures from them.

Atleast you choose what you become, your Actions have consequences, Cole May have Electricity in Infamous 1, but then had ice and fire in 2, YOU CAN MAKE ELECTRIC TORNADOS, Prptotype May be Fun in Gameplay, but Infamous stands out with Story, characters and soundtrack

@@vothbetilia4862 literally the entire point of Prototype is Alex Mercer realising he is just a villain, he's the virus itself carrying memories of a dead Alex Mercer, you're not anti hero, just a villain on a rampage, while InFamous has you do actual choices that change the world around you, and how people behave around you, both choices have a pro and con, as for the soundtrack, InFamous soundtrack was literally made from sounds of city and garbage to fit the tone of a post apocalyptic city trying to survive, and Cole's story actually has complexity, besides going around, stealing memories and murdering everyone he sees, InFamous is literally a story about either a hero, anti hero, or a villain, depending on how you play, and all paths make sense, while Prototype just forces you into 1 path
