It wasn’t pretty weather today but we travelled to the newly designated LMA test flight facility at Carmarthen Model flying club to complete its test flight program.
managed to get 2 test flights in with Heinkel ducking in an out of the wet stuff.
Finally a small break in the weather and she lifted off and climbed into the air. What a sight it was.
Flew an absolute dream and way surpassed my expectations. It’s been along old slog getting it this far but it’s worth it to see if fly again.
Few things iron out but well pleased with the flights so far. Fingers crossed next week we can get the remaining flights in for sign off.

It took quite a bit of tweaking to get them singing together but they were perfect for the first flight. 🤛

I really enjoyed your maiden flight, especially the landing which I had to replay 6 times. Then, a couple more times just to appreciate the dexterous throttle work. 🏆

Thank you 🙏 appreciate your kind words. It’s always the unknown on the first couple of flights but the first pass for landing she settled down really well so it gave me enough confidence for the second pass to land and it was perfect. Thanks for watching. I’ll have more videos coming soon on the remaining test flights. 🤛

@@airbornesoldier8104 thank you 🙏 it’s more the model than me. It’s flies so well. Just a big floater she is at 15ft wingspan. It’s a beast. More test flights tomorrow as the weather here in wales 🏴 is looking good. Fingers crossed for the sign off. 🤛👌

@@paulplatter6397 oh yes , its got more than enough power with the two Dle 85’s. They are perfect power plants for this Heinkel. 🤩
Sorry but... the props... the small loss in performance for a tree blade will nor compromise the results, anyway, wonderful job

Thank you. 🙏the first flight couldn’t have gone any better. It was scratch built from a Dave Boddington plan which was scaled up 240%👍🤭

@@remy7009 we are working on that at the moment. Just trying to get the sign off for displaying it at the shows. Hopefully she will debut at the next LMA show at Sleap the end did this month and it’ll have full historical markings applied then.
