This seems like a very beautiful anime. She loved him not for his looks it seemed but for his caring nature, for his personality and how he treats her awww. It would be nice if more people were like that.

I came here to say that this is one of my favorite ships, because it's one of the most realistic and solid ones I've ever seen in anime. they come together, having never had a relationship, so obviously they'll both have bad habits, without realizing that they're bad (Elias being controlling/jealous, and Chise being distant/reckless) but in the end, they manage to come to a compromise, and understand one another, and I think that it is absolutely beautiful to actually see that evolution of love portrayed in such a magical way.

Right? They are my favourite couple in all of media because of this. Their growth together is simply beautiful. It always irks me when people call it a toxic relationship without realizing why the problematic elements are there - we are meant to see them grow as people as well as see their relarionship evolve and them working through their issues. The only thing I would not agree with here is the word "distant" for Chise.

Damn, I don't know which would be harder. Coming into existence from nothing and trying to figure things out while facing extreme prejudice. Or Growing up just to have everything you knew ripped from you as a child to be sold at an auction and who knows what else they did to her. Two deeply toubled souls finding peace in one another through their love.

If I remember correctly her father left because of her and her mother committed suicide because of her. No one else wanted anything to do with the 'cursed', 'crazy' child so she was abandoned and abused. So she sold herself because she didn't see herself as being worthy of being a person...

This anime doesnt force everything on one episode, i like how their love progresses and they take time to grow together.

In the manga, her dress at the end was black not white. Interesting that they changed it. Love this amv by the way. It shows how beautiful the anime truly is.

@@vladpw123 if we are talking about traditional weddings, a white dress for the bride represents purity and innocence of the mind, also meaning she hasn’t given her virginity yet. Also I didn’t know in Japanese culture that a white dress at a funeral means mourning! I learned something new!

@@ok-vr7by Portrayed, is not the same thing as revealed; Portrayed Carries more of a nuance of "Shown through inference", while reveal is more of "I have to spell it out for you". Also apparently google can't count, it says there's four replies but including mine there's only 3.

I love these AMV's that introduce me to animes I never would of heard of otherwise. I've watched over 30 animes thanks to these AMV's since I started watching 3 months ago.

Same, I've discovered new shows to watch from AMV's, even some very old ones. I gravitate toward interesting visuals, but sometimes you can get a hint of the mood or emotion of an anime if the music is chosen well. Sometimes it's only a few seconds but if the AMV author lists their sources you can often back track it from there.

OK I'm hooked. NOW I have to watch the anime.

Omg the chills wont go away. This brought tears to my eyes by how beautiful this anime is.

The only significant differences I see is that Chise's eyes are more turquoise like the adder stone, and less noticeable are the bags under her eyes

​@@90210spa It's been 5 months, so my appologies, this comment is most likely irrelevant for you now, but here goes anyway. Mahoutsukai no Yome is an amazing anime, with great (mostly main) characters and story progression. Basicly Chise Hatori (main character) is a troubled girl and has been through alot in her childhood do to the fact she can see beings/creatures other's can't, this leads to her not wanting to live anymore, this is where the story progresses. (I can really go into detail and go all out in-debt, but that would be spoilers, all I can say really, it's great, a masterpiece imho) Have fun if you'll watch it! :D (PS, I find it extremely hard to explain stuff to people, so idk if this helped you out, haha ^^ well, have a nice day!)

At 3:03 you can see the climax or the reff parts. What i like from this is that the transition sync perfectly with the song. After that random scene plays after that reff and then slow mo. Thats sure fine editing skills
