Actually, it easier to talk and destroy your opponents when you are calmer, anyone who lost their composure will surely lose the argument since what you feel doesn't matter as long as what you say actually make sense.

I think she was even more triggered by them saying "someone like Fujimiya". Amane has been shown to have a very low opinion of himself, even saying that he can't imagine "someone like him" ever becoming Mahiru's boyfriend to her face. Mahiru very clearly sees someone special in Amane, even if he can't see it himself, and has been slowly trying to increase his self-esteem in the latter part of the show. Hearing someone just downplay Amane like that probably triggered her. Especially with the way they said it. You could even see Amane sigh, as if saying "you screwed up, dude", when they said it, because he's heard this lecture himself from Amane when he was selling himself short.

But the novel never went that way, their relationship almost at max and he never change in huge development. And I thinks that is thats missing from this series.

@@ainmash7554 season 2 is definitely possible. Season 1 adapted volume 1-4. Currently the LN have 8 volumes. 5 volumes are officially translated and 6-7 are Fan TLed. As for where to read it, you either buy it or basically pirate it. (search for animestuff the angel next door spoils me rotten). Well, if you have money and really want it, buy it (physical copy) to support the author.

If anyone who's watching Solo Leveling, Amane's voice actor is the same voice actor for Solo Leveling Sung Jin-Woo. (Taito Ban)

While I support Mahiru fully for making the move first, I disagree that what Amane did was running away. He said to his friends that he wanted to do it with "his own pace". He did also say several times that he wanted to change so he didn't need to have confidence issue walking alongside her. If she never "confessed" in front of everyone, I believe he would confess much later.

In the novel after they start offically dating he starts walking straight, improves his styles and starts styling his hair and stuff so people stop judging mahiru for dating him. Basically another horimiya anime situation where the male lead is actually good looking but doesn’t try until he actually has to so his popular girlfriend doesn’t get looked down on for dating someone average looking. When amane styles himself in the novel his styled up style is literally called “Amanes handsome form” 😂. Mfn author gave himself dressing decently a dragon ball ah transformation name 😂
