Hello everyone. I wanted to share my humble experience. I am from Italy and I am 37 years old, and since I was 18 I struggled with depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. Almost two years ago, my father passed away, and I reached the bottom. Then, I discovered Hinduism, read about the Baghavadgītā, Purana, Upanishad, and I felt totally different, “new”, If you allow me to use this word. I felt particularly in connection with God Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi, and.. here I am, two years later. I felt deeply in my heart to renounce to work and studies and decided to dedicate my life to meditation, spiritual introspection and growth, letting go to bad feelings such as envy, resentment, sadness, living in moderation, simplicity, an ascetic life, praying with my heart and paying homage to Maa Lakshmi asking Her to grant people luck, prosperity and happiness. It’s just my personal experience, I beg your pardon for this long message and sorry for my English. Positive vibes and thoughts to all of you. ❤

Filippo, I am a British born but fully Indian female just under 30 and last year I visited Rome alone, as a bereaved, hard working, lone, unsupported, disabled I remain traumatised by the racist ways in which I was treated but I am still trying to the best of my strength to forgive and move forward. I learned the basics of Italian and planned an itinerary with a meticulous manner. Sadly all of my limited money went down the drain and I was left humiliated by your people and other caucasian people. I only went for a up to 3 days but never really got to enjoy it all. I was refused my rights. The English speaking staff even blanked me so it wasn't a language barrier. I was inappropriately asked by a rude Belgian woman where I am really from and finally when I said I am Indian by heritage and then she went 'that's what I thought'. She and her racist French friend gasped with shock that I spoke such good English(despite them being aware I am British born). I faced aggression and hostility and was left further suicidal. I was racially abused by black and white staff in the hotel as well as staff in the airport, in public transport, passengers, general public and in the shops too. If only other Italians were as open minded as you are. I hope you will impart your learnings upon your fellow Italians and many others, globally. As the current events of the world clearly indicate, this is the only religion that has ever and will ever practise true inclusion and peace. As a born, devout, steadfast, practising, and innocent bhakti, I know that these are difficult tests for a strong soldier and I have every trust that that which has been stolen from me ie the money I invested in that trip will be returned to me thousandfold in bigger, better and brighter ways. I am glad you have discovered the grace of Bhagwan and wishing you and yours a truly rich experience here on earth and in the afterlife. Aum shanti.

I am very sorry for the way you’ve been treated in italy; unfortunately, due (also) to last elections, the real face of many italian people showed, allowing lot of racism and intolerance to be expressed publicly. It may sound naive, but trust me when i say that, despite all, there are many italians who are willing to fight racism and every single one form of intolerance. But of course, a better world for us and next generations is not only to hope for, but it will also depend on the fact that every one of us will do his/her part, spreading awareness and consciousness about the importance of respect, empathy, tolerance, non violence and love. I wish with all my heart for you to find from now on peace, kindness, and love that a Kind hearted person like you, from your words, deserves. 🙏🏻🪷❤️ Namaste my dear

In *August 2023* , *the day after* I started to pray to *Maa Lakshmi* , I suddenly won *a free degree course* to study at a college of my choice. My name was chosen at random out of over *1,000 students* who had also entered this competition. It came at a time when I had no money for my degree tuition fees. I am still struggling financially but I do live in hope for now.
