It was not emotional, they never gave ghatokatch enough scenes, he was supposed to be their from day one. This's a stupid tv series, even in the episode itself ghatotkatch barely speaks a single sentence. I connect more with duryodhan than ghatotkach because this tv serial was garbage

One small thing to note here, Bhim was ready to break his oath right away for betterment of Dharma. You never see such attitude on Kaurav Side. Krishna made Pandavas adaptable while Kaurav were all stubborn with their personal Oaths

He did not waste time in real version, every makers show ghatotkach as laughing material, he had destroyed kuru army during that night and had fierce fight with Karna and Ashwathama. If we have good VFX we can make ghatotkach scene like Thanos destroying the Avengers.. makers lack creative sense

These serials always went wrong with THE Great Ashwatthama I always get angry when they show Ashwatthama as a coward if you read books you will find Ashwatthama the most strongest and most painful character among all even more than karna and abhimanyu

Graphics wise it is good but portraying the epic it falls pretty low. Everyone looks like some "action model" than having that "Bhaava" (emotion/expression) on their face. There is just raw drama, multiple cut scenes etc. that don't give power to the epic. B.R. Chopra did a better job but there it wasn't accurate too. We need a new Mahabharata that depicts the epic as it is without any abridgements except creative choices for the drama and script to make it aptly poetic and Dharmik. Seriously cannot feel anything in this one.

I wish they only had better cgi to make how the battle really happened with ghatochkacha using illusions and being in the skies shooting countless arrows at karna and karna countering it and ghatochkacha throwing Rudra at karna and karna grabbing it and throwing at ghatochkacha and hundreds of demons of Ravana army attacking Ashwatthama and Ashwatthama using vajra Astra to destroy the demons and killing ghatochkacha’s son and ghatochkacha making 1000 of illusions like indrajit and karna destroying all the illusions and ghatochkacha getting defeated by karna at archery many times and running away and again coming back and making himself look like a mountain and throwing many powerful giant chakras decorated with gold and magic and karna destroying it and launching himself on karna and karna using steel arrows and penetrating ghatochkacha and ghatochkacha landing at karna’s horse with his mace to bash karna head and karna uses his vasavi Shakti and killing ghatochkacha that’s would’ve been epic

If Ghatochkach thrashed Duryodhan down to his death from the long height before Karna shoot Indra's Amogh Shakti, the war would've ended. Although Bheem's oath would've been broke.
