As per the Modi government, inflation and rising fuel prices are responsible for the economy’s terrible state. Although, these 2 crisis are prevalent only since the last 6 months whereas India’s economy has performed poorly for the last 8 years. This can be owed to the government’s policy failures like demonetization, goods and services tax and other anti-poor schemes.
