महाराजा रंजीत सिंह ने हरि मंदिर पर स्वर्ण चढवाया था, उसके बाद से यह स्वर्ण मंदिर भी कहा जाने लगा। उसके पहले इसे हर मंदर ( हरिमंदिर) कहा जाता था। यहा श्रीहरि की मूर्ति भी स्थापित थी।

Thanks a lot sir for this eye opening session. I would encourage you to do more sessions especially on topics that how British caused rift between Hindus n Sikhs. Guru Teg Bahadur ji sacrificed his life to stand against forced conversion. So very young sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji accepted being bricked alive but didnt bow down before tyrannists. But then how come these royal families that u mentioned converted to Christianity so easily. N i can feel there are some hidden forces trying to create rift between 2 brothers. So please make more shows highlighting these issues. Thanks

They won't get anything... They are minority in Punjab at about 22-24% and not all of them are absolutely United..!! And also, sikhs are literally less than 50% of Punjab, if census is conducted today... Also, they don't have multiple sons to sacrifice for such a futile cause.. This artificial movement is bound to be crushed, it's just about time..!!
