what a beautiful bird. i don't know if we have them in california 🤔 if we do never seen one. right now it is a little to warm(98) and i think the crows are up in the trees for shade. i love what you are doing for them. keep up the great work you are doing.

Sounds like right now. I saw a magnificent magpie this morning. It was the largest one I’ve ever seen in my life. It was the size of a parrot/McCaw. Absolutely gorgeous!! Dum Dum me didn’t take a picture!!🙄

That's a European Magpie which is a Corvid like crows, while an Australian Magpie is from an entirely different genus unrelated to crows. Australia has a Corvid called the Australian Raven. Australia has quite a few poorly named species
