Amazing that this happens just a couple of days after seeing Hikaru say that Magnus hadn't won a Chesscom tournament since that first Titled Tuesday victory he had back in December or January. It would be funny if this performance was somehow in response to that. 🤭

@@vickmackey24​⁠ ⁠worth noting though. Hikaru’s channel’s videos are uploaded with a higher incidence of being late than any other major content creator on KZread, period. A fast titled Tuesday upload for his channel is around 3-4 weeks at the earliest with the average being around 2 months. That particular upload you’re referring to could easily be from a TT dating back as far as April or March. Especially considering the title of the video *itself* had to admit it’s old (using “long lost” in the title -- instead of “late because we didn’t feel like uploading that night then forgot”).

Разнес Личес по 3 минутке и впоследствии данный Титульный вторник чесскома после того, как команда Магнуса SG alpine warriors вылетела из Global chess league (tech machindra, не помню точного названия спонсора индийского). В день вылета из турнира Магнус сыграл в Личесе, который разнес. Был зол...с такой командой-то не выйти в финал это позор для Магнуса. Иметь Прагнанандха, который шел с 90% результатом, плюс девчонки неплохо играли. А вот Гукеш на второй доске (и Арджун на третьей) очень сильно подвёл. Гукеш все партии проиграл кроме двух ничьих кажись. Причем проиграли бездарно последние три матча имея 15 очков из 21 после 7-го тура (из 10 туров). В какой-то мере сам Магнус был виноват. Не проигрывай бездарно, а хотя бы сделай ничью белыми с Ароняном в 8-ом туре и его команда вышла бы в финал вместо команды Ароняна (Tri.. continental kings) за два тура до окончания предварительного отбора. Вместо этого проигрывают бездарно три последних матча подряд. В конце прошли две команды, команда МВЛ (мумбай мастерс) и команда Ароняна, у которых были 16 и 18 очков соответственно после 10туров.

@@lazzatbastar3497 Отсюда и вывод- нет желания у шахматистов даже за деньги хорошо играть эти клубные бесполезные турниры. Кто в здравом уме будет выкладываться на них в полную силу. Заработал денег и можно сыграть на личесс и ческом- в спортивном плане это куда более важно.

Sick tactic that white missed against Magnus at 9:18 … he should have played RxQ, NxN, and Kf1!! (rather than recapturing the knight). That way Magnus can’t capture the queen with check, and white is an exchange up when the dust settles. I stared at the bored forever trying to figure out why the eval bar was up for white in that position!

He was probably afraid of the check when knight jumps to f3 then black wins the queen back. Should still be good for white but maybe they didn't have much time on the clock so he didn't have time to evaluate the entire line.
