Loved watching Magnum in the 80's and still enjoy watching the reruns today. This show had it all, great cast and storylines, Hawaiian location and that awsome Ferrari,

I remember Magnum,it was an amazing show with some beautiful scenery of Hawaii.Shame that the house that was Higgin's place burned down..

So glad I got to visit Robins Nest before it was demolished. Went right up the back there where the rock pool is to the gate.

Magnum PI is my favourite 80's series and Tom Selleck my favourite actor.

I much prefer the credits as they were. Thank heavens they changed them!

As a kid, I used to play at this estate. Swam on that beach, played on the tennis court, and played tag on the lawn. In the evening we were served great meals inside the house. Great times.

When i was a kid i did't miss an episode and ever recorded all them. My fav was "Did you see the sunrise?" but also other "serious" when comraderie between charachters (even with Higgins!) was displayed. And loved all those "Did you really talked to Icepick..?" moments. Know i'd pass retrograde but there's no Magnum PI show but the original...

Tom Selleck was always a hunk but hard to believe he was only 35 when this was filmed - weirdly he looks much older.

I was shocked to find out he was 35 here too. Good looking man no doubt. Loved how he portrayed Magnum, such a loveable character. As a guy, I’d want to be him and I suppose all the ladies wanted to be with him. 🤣

Yep that shocked me back in the day, watched the scene a dozen times and came to the conclusion that there must have been a lad or even two who stood off-camera and grabbed the back of the roof panel once Selleck handed it to them. That's the only plausible way I can see

The original theme for "MAGNUM P.I.",Season 1 - Before Mike Post & Pete Carpenter's famous theme music replaced it. 😬

Vraiment c'est autre chose que la nouvelle version.

The only thing which would make this introduction perfect would the classic theme tune, not the original somewhat generic one.

The original tune was a state of the art jazz piece. I think it was a mistake to change it. And i too love the Classic theme!

pretty sure pure luck, the idea was that the dogs don't reach the gate on time but not that close I guess other wise one could cross and leave the other behind, not good.
