Sumbul sees everything as Ibrahim's body is taken out of the palace secretly. Hurrem gets waken up in the middle of the night and directly goes to Suleiman. Neither Ibrahim exists now nor Suleiman is the person he used to be. She gets aware that nothing will be the same anymore. Matrakci buries Ibrahim's body that no one knows as Suleiman has ordered. He also needs to make a decision about İbrahim's orphan daughter Esma Nur. Nigar arrives in Istanbul. She mourns for Ibrahim and looks for her daughter. Meanwhile, Suleiman bears his sorrow and makes new decisions for the state's future. Prince Mustafa returns to the palace and gets dissapointed. He asks his father "why?". Suleiman's answer gives Mustafa a deep shock.
Hurrem takes a quick action to be able to have a voice in the new order that will be built up. However, it's not that easy as Sultana Sah is around watching everything. Hatice gets petrified in sorrow. Only thing in her mind is to take revenge. She finds a hangman for Hurrem with Mahidevran's support.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

It’s funny how everyone keeps blaming hurrem and restum, but in actuality, ibriham brought his fate upon himself the moment he believed he is above the sultan and spoke from a arrogant mind openly in their meetings where everything is recorded.

He thought that the sultan would never see the records. Apparently he never did it before or only for very important occasions. Taunting Hurrem helped in his demise but I think that even if Hurrem did nothing Shah would've taken Ibrahim down anyways.

I think so too. Ibrahim brought this on himself. Look at how he even had a statue of himself made, how stupid that really is. It was hard to believe really. All those statues were self-aggrandizing, and he had ambitions to rule, there was no doubt of that. He was divided within himself between his own self love and his friendship with Suleiman. He and Mustafa were almost unconsciously planning to overthrow Suleiman, so it was necessary for Suleiman to kill Ibrahim to preserve the crown. I also think Hatice should have divorced Ibrahim, since he betrayed her hugely. If he could betray the Sultan's sister, he could betray the Sultan.

It's funny to watch Suleiman's sisters command Hurrem in the show as if they had that kind of power. That could've never happened in real life. She outranked them all. The only person who ranked higher than her was the Valide. Turkish history shows Hurrem and subsequent soleminzed wives of the Ottoman Sultans were higher ranked and held more powerful positions in the harem than the dynastic Princesses.

this is just a fiction soap, not the true history. Don't confuse them. Hurrem was Haseki. Only Mihrimah was Valide Sultana to his brother Selim II. She was the second Valide Sultana after Valide Hafsa Ayse Sultana (Syleiman's mother). Then, it was Valide Nurbany Sultana, Valide Safiye Sultana, Valide Kosem Sultana (who was also the first regent), etc. All the mothers of the Princes, who were alive, when one of their sons ascended to the throne, ONLY they became "Valide Sultanas". Hurrem died at 1558, before Selim II's succession to the throne. Syleiman I died at 1566 and Selim II ascended the day of his father's death, which means that Hurrem was a Sultana, Haseki Sultana, but she never became Valide Sultana.

@dionysissmaragdis5627 u haven't said anything more than I already said. You just didn't read my comment well. I never said Hurrem was Valide. I said she was the second highest ranking female in the Harem after the Valide Sultan. The Haeskis were that powerful. We all know she never became a Valide because of her untimely death. All I said was that at the time she was Haeski, she was the highest ranking woman in the Harem, whose status was elevated above even the Dynastic Princesses. Therefore, it would've been impossible in real life for Suleiman's sisters to command her around and assume importance over her. She was the head of the Harem and higher ranked than any woman in the Empire as the Valide was already dead when Suleiman married her and made her his legal wife. Making her the most powerful woman in the empire at the time. Yes, the Valides were indeed the highest ranked women in the Ottoman empire, but the Haeskis came close second to that level of power becos of the precedence set by Suleiman for Hurrem.

But is so coward that he destroys the balance of Truth and False around him. He could decide not to break the marriage with Nigar, help Ibrahim to understand him his mistakes as Ibrahim surely didn’t have someone close to at least guide him, he decided on his own everything, Nasuh could warn Hatice, after Ibrahim died, Nasuh was still the parasite he was, he lied to Hatice about grave, didn’t give Nigar her child and so on. His protecting mentality destroyed everything around him. He's the one who disrupted the balance. And in real life, we see so many people like him as well.

And the reason for Ibrahim's death is his own undoing. It is treason to assume and act as if you are above the Sultan which he did. And to all the pea-brained people who favor Ibrahim, they never witnessed this act of treason. The other Pashas are silent witnesses to his words but never did anything against it for they knew that he is highly favored by the Sultan. However, only a true follower of the Sultan would understand that he will never execute Ibrahim based on slanders and lies alone.

If he is in pain, then he should reconsider his decision about taking Ibrahim's life, instead of being in pain after the tragedy, because now he maybe is in pain, but Ibrahim is no longer alive. He should think of it earlier. When the milk is spoilled, then no one can do nothing. He should do something, before this cruelty happened and Hatice Sultana had lost his husband and his children had been fatherless. Syleiman broke his promise and this death, just like his sons', didn't leave him at peace, because he had conmitted unacceptable sins. Syleiman's biggest mistake had been fulfilled and his main trait of character was that he had no idea to love someone. Because he made all the things to go ill, to pass away and to be ugly, in order to make them just like himself.

I disagree with Suleyman's decision. Istorically, Ibrahim was an outstanding statesman and did so much for the empire, as well as saving the Sultan's life several times. He could be exiled, he could be degraded, but it wasn't fair that he didn't even have a tomb where his loved ones could pray. True, he had become greedy for power, but perhaps because he was born of a humble family and had not been able to handle that power. And the Sultan did not have the courage to execute him with his own hands, he hid behind the excuse that "he was asleep".

Well, first let's separate history from a fictional show, much was changed here. However, in the show (and in history) there is no way Ibrahim could've lived. He was a grand visir for a really long time, the most trusted friend Suleyman has had, he knew everything, every secret, every plan. How could Suleyman let him live? If he was banished, what would have stopped him from rioting and going to Mustafa to put him on the throne? Moreover, how could Suleyman be a respected sultan? Ibrahim called himself a sultan, belittled and humiliated Suleyman in front of ambassadors, he tricked and lied to him in favor of Mustafa, etc. He commited way to many offences for which others would have been executed. It was emphasied a lot in the show how all Suleyman has ever wanted was loyalty, absolute loyalty. Ibrahim failed time and time again. True, he saved his life, won wars and passed good laws, but sultanat means being ruled by a single person. Otherwise, there is no order, no respect for the sultan and no stability. No one can be blamed for the execution, but Ibrahim himself. He made his bed.

@@katherinejones9125 I got interested in the history of the Ottoman Empire by watching this series and every time a new character appeared, I went to read his/hers real life. In the show, almost all the characters actually existed, while at least 80% of the facts are pure fiction. It is true that Ibrahim made several mistakes, but they were all errors of arrogance, there has never been a true betrayal of the Sultan. Also, I found the photo of his grave and if it's the real one, it is reduced like an open-air dump, in a dirty alley and it's really sad.

@@IRY-a-modo-mio I understand about history, it was the same for me. What Ibrahim did was a betrayal. Lying, manipulating Suleyman is a betrayal. He literally humiliated him in front of ambassadors from another country, that is the definition of betrayal. And what about having a family on the side? He was cheating on his sister for years. What about meeting Mustafa in private? Nor he, nor Mustafa can leave cities without his permission and they did it and tried to hide it. All of this is a betrayal. And other crimes he committed too. Like trying to kill Hurrem, Suleyman knew that Ibrahim was involved in it, so also a betrayal.

He was warned time and again about his ego and wild ambition. I mean, come on, Suleman had already killed one brother in law. What did he think would happen? He actually killed 4 brother in laws. But the sisters all wanted power and influence through their husband's. These women cause all of this misery fighting for power over the others. Even their children suffered. In reality, Suleman probably had a harem full of sisters he probably barely knew. How would things have changed if Ibrahim had allowed Mustafa' mother to be killed for trying to poison them? Likely, Hurrem would have raised him and all them kids would have worked together. And Hatice might have remained her friend.

First of all, you all just losing your time, by accusing others for others' mistakes (because Syleiman was the only responsible for all deaths and executions, he knew what would happen if Ibrahim and Mustafa (and all the others who he had executed) would be executed, Hurrem and Rustem were only those who putted the idea of the betrayals in his head, so that means that they were the main traitors (Hurrem and Rustem), no Mustafa or Ibrahim and Hatice. The only responsible was Syleiman). Secondly, if you want to judge everyone about where he/she will go in the afterlife, then go ahead. This is losing time too. Because only God knows. Last but not least, Hatice was Ibrahim's wife (for those who say that she knew about his dark side). She couldn't let him in Hurrem's plans. After all, whatever she did, Hurrem again would fight them. Besides, from when wifes turn against their husbands? They had common enemies and they fought for the same purpose: they fought the traitors, who wanted to get rid of Prince Mustafa and the one who said (from the beginning) that they would get rid of them too. It is different to have one enemie and having lots of enemies, who want to get rid of someone.

What's the big sadness with the deserved execution of Ibrahim ? He was a cheat, a liar, an arrogance beyond belief, he wanted to usurp the Emperor, he acted like he was the ruler, he killed innocent people and caused much misery ....in the series it didn't show the half of it, In reality Sultan was extremely worried that this vizier was taking over and that's why he had him executed, good riddance I say. And now the series shows his widow for the real witch that she is. In reality he wasn't married to Hatice, this has been made up for the storyline.... And as for his burial being kept secret....why.? Even Nasun Efendi says to Hatice - well he had a lot of enemies....why does Hatices allies think he is blameless....NO WAY....and why has Nigar's daughter not been given up to her as should be the case? What an awful family Pasha Ibrahim created? And now in this series it shows people who BLAME poor Hurram, she was blameless for Ibrahim's faults...nothing to do such her, she jaybhave wanted control, but she wasn't the cause of the fall of Ibrahim...as I say, good riddance...😅

People were saying from the beginning that Ibrahim betrayed Sulaiman, I thought he must have planned to kill him for any of his enemy. Actually he would have saved Sulaiman's life many times in future like he did in the past if he was alive. His fault was his extream arrogance, many times Sulaiman himself advised him, warned him and punished him. But he is not changed that's why Sulaiman decided such a fate for him( ofcourse the hatred and suspicion hurrem paved in his heart also worked) but Ibrahim never want to break Sulaiman's heart like hurrem who trying so hard to kill his first born for her gains. Ibrahim's sins... killing Leo, cheating hatice, cheating naush efendi is nothing when compared to hurrem's. ( She is actually making fool of Sulaiman and controlling and using him) It's so sad that... Sulaiman never knew iskendar celebi was not innocent he was the master lord who tried to kill Ibrahim many times whom Sulaiman himself wanted to kill with his own hands. It was hurrem who made Ibrahim almost died many times and came back by luck whom Sulaiman want to rip out the heart. Rustem aga and Ayash Pasha whom Sulaiman believe loyal were serving master lord who tried to kill grand vizier and Sulaiman's dearest friend who always protected Sulaiman and all of his sons. Now the empire is in the hands of real traitors.
