I will always stand by my opinion of this magnet. Had mine for over two years and suits me perfectly.

Thank you Michelle, I will be putting a video together.

I ditched their rubber washer, as the hole in it is too big, causing it to squish down unevenly. I replaced it with two red fibre washers that have a correct size hole for the bolt. They stop the magnet cracking when you tighten it up, like the rubber washer is meant to do, but they don't crack & perish with age like rubber washers do. Cheers

I think it's better to use the loop on the magnet, then use the clip to clip to you pants or whatever. One less thing to break at the magnet end, and you don't need to keep removing it like a double sided magnet. Just, put the loop through the eye hole, them over the magnet (I like to do a twist as I put it over the magnet). Also things can snag on the clip when it's down at the magnet end. Cheers

@@fpvdronie9276 Yeah and even if your rope doesn't have a pre-made loop end (like Magnetar's orange ropes do) you can just make a loop with a figure 8 knot, then pass the loop through the eye-nut & around the magnet. As easy as a clip to undo for magnet storage, but way stronger. You can be even neater, by pre sliding on a 6-8inch length of heat-shrink (just wide enough to get the rope through doubled up). Electrical tape the tag end to the rope (just a couple wraps at the end of the tag-end to hold it there, then tidying it all up by sliding the heat-shrink down over it all. Then pour boiling water over the heat-shrink to finish. Then you have your own nice pre-made loop end.
