Such a beautiful Place
I believe this the bridge at St Ives, Cambridgeshire. The chapel/ bawdy house/ toll booth used to have two extra stories, built in 1736. These extra floors were removed in 1930, when the structure was found to be rotten. Visited the town many times, it's a beautiful medieval market town.

That's my home town. I just bought a little house 30 seconds walk from where you are. It's very old and I'm having to do a lot of work on it. Friends and family questioned the wisdom of buying such an old house but seeing this video and reading comments saying how beautiful the area is has reminded me why! It's a different place come summer and I'm really looking forward to it this year. I have snorkeled around under that bridge quite a few times past summers. There is a big pile of huge tractor tires just under it. Some crazy plants grow from the stone under the water. So much history around that area....and hidden secrets I'm sure.

the little decorative piece, might be a very old 'point', for lacing things together, another name for it is an 'aglet', but that's a lot more modern word,... points were metal on the end of laces to keep them from fraying, and make it easier to put them through a hole. They were used on some types of armor, and a lot of medieval clothing.

The day was filled with Metal reinforcements; an ancient piece of the old Bridge, various bits of scaffolding, and the biggest reinforcement EVER; that GIANT Bra underwire! (Aaron's head was perfect to give us its scale)!☺Great video!😊

watcha ya lads great vid. i do believe that decorative piece is what they call a dagger chape. it would be on the end of a sheath which held the dagger

Good, as ever, to see you all clearing up the waterways. Really hope you kept and did something with those possible pieces of old bridge, and they weren't scrapped. I'm sure some archaeologist/FLO would be delighted to investigate whether they were original. I missed whether you explained why it was called Little Hell, but it would be cool fact, if the first wooden bridge burned down.

I’m from the US. Why are so many scaffolding items found in the water wherever y’all go? Love your videos btw.

when the bridges were repaierd the workers obviously just chucked them in the river or canals instead of giving them back. sad state of affairs really.
Can't go anywhere without finding bikes in the water it seems. I wonder what that tiny ornate piece was from. We may never know.
