This was by far the best sound at High End Munich 2018. Mesmerizing! Full stop.

Great Video! Thank you! The Soulution gear used is all 7 series. 525 was only used in the Soulution room. Magic used the 725 preamp, 755 phono, 760 DAC and 701 Monoblocks.

A little dry or analitical sounding to me, right? What was your perception about Magico speakers?

andy andy Thank you for the useful link. Maybe it’s cultural but having read UK and USA mags I’ve never heard sound described as dry or wet. For what it’s worth, I heard Magico V3, Q7, S5 & S3 and I personally found them neither dry or wet but neutral. I think they can highlight the character of the amp easily. Heard them with Soulution, Dartzeel and Vitus. I loved it with the Vitus amps.

Recorder being used is being over driven and distorting. Cannot hear what the M6 speakers actually sound like.

that's not the case the mic was omni so its picking up all the room sound. There is a limiter built in so it cant distort or clip - but either way the recording rig I used last year was not good enough hence I replaced it following this show. Rome wasnt built in a day and recording on the move is very difficilt

I don't get why everybody thinks that Magico is so great, they're very two-dimensional sounding nothing is going outside of the speaker all the sound is between the speakers. The monitor audio Platinum and son is favor some much more real and warm than these speakers, the Platinum the soundstage just envelops the room it makes you feel like you're right in the middle of the performance these don't do that, they sound very nice but they're missing stuff.

I have definitely heard better no offense but incredible set up for sure.

Magico persistently presents poorly on audio shows as the quantity of negatives shows
