u can see at 9:24 a card with number(top right of the deck), it probably 2 cards 1 full blank and the other normal cards. In .25 at 9.25 u can even see one of the back part of the card

Well even on 0.25 speed I could not make out how he did it. I usually wouldn't do that, but this time I felt intrigued to do so. On the other hand I am glad, I didn't figure it out. It will remain "magic"

That card production was fantastic. Sometimes you just have to admit when you are fooled. I have an inkling of an idea, but as a magician, it's fantastic when you feel the same things from another magician that your audience feels when they watch you. Absolutely fantastic.

Horret's magic looks so natural & flawless. Shin's 'mid-air card grab' baffles me every time I see it.

Shin you are honestly my favourite magicians ever you have inspired me to practice magic and I have fell in love with it. I practice every day and hope to be somewhere near your level in maybe about 5-10 years

Boy I'm a sleight of hand specialist for over 15 years but that mid air 4 card appearance at 10:22 was out of this world. I can't even comprehend the technique behind this. I've watched it again and again and.. Wow man.... Respect Shin.

They are both amazing. I love to watch one master magician being amazed by another, it shows just how skillful the magician is.

This was wonderful, a great show of respect. Horrut genuinely looked shocked when Shin produced the 4 cards, and at the end, he THANKED Shin for involving him in the trick like that. Lovely.

I'm 34 years old, and magic still makes me just as happy as when I was a kid! Lol Y'all are amazing! Thanks for taking me back to my childhood!

Re-watched the four cards appearing like 25 times... simply cannot get my head around it! What the heck???? Shin Lim, you're truly a class act. Thank you for the inspiration!

Arnav Sirigere it’s less a matter of how he did it, every card manipulation is basically slight of hands.. it’s more of HOW WELL he performed it. And they both are amazing!

I love it Shin how you are reacting, especially since you know how he’s doing it because if a nonprofessional like me knows, then definitely you are just going along...I love it

Here's my theory about Shin Lim's mind-boggling trick. First, he used an off-screen accomplice to write Horret's answers on the 4 cards. Then, when Horret's picture-in-picture suddenly grew to obscure half the screen, the accomplice positioned the cards, edge towards camera, against the black bar in the background. With zero depth of field, the four cards were hidden in plain sight when the picture-in-picture reverted back to normal size. Shin plucked the cards from the black holder making it appear that he grabbed them from thin air. This was done so smoothly, so brilliantly that the illusion baffles not only the naked eye, but also the slo-mo camera. The greatest living magician of our era.

Horret Wu's sleight of hand is simply on another level.

I swear the god, i repeat watching dat four cards came out of nowhere with 0.25x speed.

He met the "devil at the crossroad" ! Wow, that was simple and amazing.

So, you’re a real magician. I watched that four card trick in slow motion and they appeared from nowhere. AMAZING!!

Horret Wus reaction is the best part. He is just too lovely

Hardest part for Shin was keeping his body and hands in frame so nothing got cut off until he grabbed the cards placed just off frame by an assistant that filled out the cards for him. That took much practice to get correct and look the way it did. Props to precision

I figured it out.. Shin had someone writing down the answers off screen and while shins body blocked the view they placed them in a clip lined up perfectly with the frame of his trophy cabinet making them invisible from our view.This was the magic of angles and perspective. Horrets jumbo card trick was mind boggling and I couldn't figure that one out..Master's!

Well you truly blew my mind with that last flourish of the 4 appearing cards! You never looked like you loaded them from anywhere! You got me on that one--not withstanding you had a solid prediction/mentalism twist to the whole trick! Nice work I gotta say!

Horret's ability to deal from the bottom and stealthily drop cards unseen onto his lap is super impressive given the size differences!

Took me .25 to truly see it properly but it was pretty clean

Shin, you r not a magician atall, you r Mozart of magic. your creativity is of another level. Meny magician shows magic to fool but your work perfectly blends this 'fooling' part with the 'feel good' part and this makes your magic a piece of art. I partially know how you did it but even then I enjoined every bit of your magic. Keep it up.

Brooooo, I kinda was on a good way to get a clue of how you produce the cards out of mid air and how you get the predictions on the card (Penn and Teller). But now, after you combined both of them, you just destroyed all of my theories man 😅😍. Absolutely great work shin! Keep going!!!

I think that someone was writing on those cards while shin talking with Horret and somehow gave them to shin wihout being noticed

Besides, Shin has proven he can do stuff like this in live performances, so there's no reason for me to believe he edited it in.

I *think* the backdrop isn't his actual apartment, but instead it's a green screen. The accomplice is behind the green screen and passes them parallel to the camera line through a slit that corresponds to the side of his trophy case. Not a trick he can do in front of a live audience.

The cards appearing out of thin air fooled me even in slow motion

at 9:04, there's some ink on those cards. Also a slip at 9:23, but that aside, no explanation on how he pulled the cards out of thin air. That was amazing.

I played back the last part in slow-mo where the cards appear out of no where, and I still can't figure it out

10:25 - lol if you slow down the video to 0.25x, you still don't know how it was done. This guy is crazy.

well my best theory is .,.., when he was asking questions to Horret third person wrote it down . First card he took under the table at 8:39 ,,,fading card trick was normal ,,,, Cards from thin air:: notice he covered the camera view of the area from where he pulled cards ,,,the third person kept the cards oriented as sideways with very thin stick exactly the edge of line .,,.,.

If I'm not mistaken, his position on the far left of the chair (from our POV) and the positon of his hand just above the chair should give you a hint. This is the only position he could have to perform this trick.

I think the nonexistent card appearing was a card that was aligned to the black shelf behind shin lim. There must be a black string or anything where he can put those cards aligned to the black shelf. The camera got cut halfway to his left when he's about to start. That was fucking brillant!

He was writing stuff whole the time. He definitely aced the art of hiding efficiently and that helps him produce cards out of thin air

That was one of the ways I assumed he had done it, but I was waiting to see if he would switch it on everyone and turn the small cards to the bigger ones. Then I would not have had a clue.

I think the background is a green screen. And the cards were covered with a green cloth and he removed the green cloth.
