Love how Teller smiles when he picks the 3 of clubs and shows Penn. They know it's a force and an homage to them because the 3 of clubs is their favorite card to force. He has to know that too.

He has one of the best gimmicks for a stage performance that I believe any magician has. Being able to get the audience to chant your name in unison is a great way to make an exit!

It's a children's trick. Suffice it to say, they were not deceived (I didn't watch Penn's speech). No code language required. The trick is called "delayed prediction" and in many modifications it is done by children at school performances. The magician came on request to entertain the audience and fill the time in this show uncompetitively. He succeeded.

This may be and the simplest trick and the best performance of Fool Us at the same time. It's useless to complain about how simplistic the entire trick is, and how other people have been way more skilled. This was mere performance and entertainment, and honestly it was really funny and had the audience in a palm of an hand: not easy at all. GO SHOCKER! GO!

Heres how he did it: 1st envelope 8D, 2nd write what the first person said, 3rd write what the second person said. Then, use a deck of all 3C so he picks 3C. Then take out a deck of all 8D and show it of to the audience. Then using some kind of erase thing just remove the side of the 8 and D so it looks like a 3C.

+ Stella Marie There are dozens of ways to cover that up when he's in control off all the envelopes at the front there. He could have multiple envelopes with the same number, he could have help a number "1" envelope behind and blank one and write number "2" on that. Many ways.

First envelope he writes down the 3 of clubs. 2nd envelope, he writes down "Donna" as if he is writing down "wrestling". The third envelope he writes down "Wrestling" but makes the audience think he is writing down a card. The slight of hand involves the envelopes.

Bing0lotten easy its not normal ink/paper. note that if you wipe away the left side of an 8 it turns into a 3 and wipe away the right side of a D becomes a C look at the C at the end it has a flat edge what c has a flat edge? it was eather mad with ink that fades when warmed/cooled or the paper slides to block out parts.

When he writes down his 'prediction' for the woman's name he's writing his card prediction (for this act it's 8D). When he's writing his "prediction" for what the woman likes to do with men he writes the woman's name the man said (Donna in this case). During the card prediction he writes what the woman who had the mask said (Wrestling in this case). The card prediction changing is due to special ink, most likely vanishing/disappearing ink. 3C is in regular ink and then the figures are filled in with special ink to look like 8D. Look at the card once it's changed and you can easily see the C is just part of the D that was there before.

The 3 of clubs was forced. (notice he never showed the deck prior to the pull) On the "first" envelope instead of writing Donna he wrote 3 of clubs, "2nd" envelope he wrote Donna not Wrestle, and on the third one he wrote wrestle. He used slight of hand envelope 3 was inside envelope 1 when he placed the card inside "envelope 1" it was placed inside envelope 3 that was inside the first envelope. He knew what the answer was going to be for the third question so then after that he just "guesses" exactly what the person says the question before. He had a second deck of cards full of 8 or diamonds. the disapearing ink would most likely come from some source of heat either his hand or something on the stand he put it on. besides the source of the heat for the ink i am 95% sure that this is how it was done. Im 100% the first with the guesses is correct having done the same trick myself.

+FuckYouGooglePlus P&T always end up with 3 of clubs in their gags. In this case it had to be that because 3C is easily created from 8D by blocking portions of the letters. You notice he wrote C and D; wouldn't have worked if he had drawn the actual symbols as someone usually would have done in marking down a suit and number.

he wrote nothing on the first paper, then wrote Donna on the second paper and wrestle on the third paper, using sleight of hand he made you believe he grabbed the correct folder marked 1, but instead grabbed 2, and then when you thought he grabbed 2 he grabbed 3, thus he gets Donna and wrestle for the 8D becoming a 3C the card which was in the first envelope was electronic.

Magician needs sufficient amount of skill, but after that everything is presentation and performance. Magician can have magnificent skills, but fail as entertainer if his/her act is dull. This is all about performance as The Shocker may not be most skilled, but his energy and enthusiasm for his craft is undeniable.

Wrote a random card number on the first card, wrote "Donna" on the second card (he already knew it), and "Wrestle" on the second card (already knew it). He did something on the 8D card to make it 3C... Remove half the 8 and part of middle on D, becomes 3C. Oh yeah, and he did some trick to make Teller pick 3C, a trick that apparently all magicians know. Thank you for ur time.

Wow.... this is quite a trick. I just got back from church where Father Filler was talking about the various Stations of the Cross while holding up one of those over sized calculators. And now after watching this I can see just how the # hashtag is much like a procession whereby the * asterism patterns of the Big Dipper reflect back upon the western portion of Arkansas as if the state were a diaper upon a wandering Hebrew who used a wedge like a tripod. Vegas... you just can't beat it!

+ThePikeyPrince Look at the second time he shows the envelope again, after it's changed, you can see that it's just 8D but half of both letters has faded to leave it saying 3C, the C with a straight back is a dead giveaway, it's probably just ink that fades over time
