Ben Hart doesn't just do magic, he creates art through magic. I'm from the United States of America so I didn't get to see him when he was on the season of Britain's Got Talent that he was on. What is it with people and singers. I've got nothing against singers, being the music lover that I am but, come on, this guy was bloody brilliant! No matter, there are times when the winner doesn't do as well as another contestant on these types of shows. Remember Susan Boyle finished runner up to a dance group whose name I can't even remember.

bens first audition was imo one of the most captivating ever... an oddly nostalgic affair imo.. it was beautiful.. what came later was so far removed from his first show. I feel bad for him.. he peaked on his first show...which is a shame... the gothic victorian feel was perfect... i wished more for him... regardless..this audition will always be one i enjoy watching when am needing a wee push in life.. i loved it.

Everybody loves magic! And this guy was really good, I was reading all the comments where they try and figure out how he does it and I think I like not knowing better I love the idea that there can be magic

I figured some parts of it : 0:38 the piece of paper is already on the folding fan Egg is a piece of foam unfolding 1:37 switched to a real egg 2:23 pen doesn't write, the paper already has a dot on it to choose the twin who is an accomplice 4:53 a small smoke paper used by magicians under the plate 5:12 already hiding the lit match with his finger 5:34 he actually swallowed it 6:14 in his left hand he has the folded 9 of clubs and he puts it on the table 6:40 no visible 9 of clubs, so he has spread just half of the deck, and behind them are a lot of 9 of clubs so Simon is forced to pick that card only 7:02 pushing the card with the rest of the deck and he puts it in his pocket

Ok I am with Magic and without Magic. But when this Man does it for some odd reason. He just blows me away. Because it is just so simple but how did he do it. Like that one when all the cards kept shrinking down big to very tiny. Then turned into dust. Very cool I liked it simple and how did he do it.

He has a fake thumb where he puts amandas signed money and when he opens the light he changes amandas bill and normal bill that was in light. If you look better at 15:38 with minimum video speed you can see his thumb is a lot bigger than his other fingers and also his thumb has different color than his skin. At 16:44 when he reaches for money his thumb is much different and in that thump he puts amandas money. the 'pen' most likely does have ink they just dip the tip in super glue. the mark is done before hand, the seat is probably the magicians assistant or in much cheesier versions of this an actual twin dressed similar. unfortunately with how they edit the show we don't get a view to be sure how the swap was done. More remarkably the first part of his trick is incredibly technical and well done, if he can do that idk why he went to something so cheesy and gimmicky for his big finale.

After seeing all episodes of Penn & Teller Fool Us, I think I got a quite good idea on how many magic tricks work, although I couldn't perform much myself. But here is what I think about this guy: The piece of paper with EGG on it was not randomly selected. I still don't know how he "made" the egg in almost plain sight. Annika wasn't chosen at random. She'S a stooge and the cage changing trick is quite common. Although very well and pretty fast executed. Smoke, Match... I got a pretty clear idea how that worked. The 9 of Clubs was forced, so that trick is also quite clear to me. For the shrinking cards: Best presentation, one of the most basic tricks I believe. But handling such small cards needs high skill anyway. The flapping of the banknote is just a special folding technique. The flying was good. The disappearing was easy again. The transfer to the bulb was either an "Object in an impossible place" in almost plain sight or the not was switched after freeing it from the bulb. I think it was the second as this could be achieved easier. After all: Very, very good performer and very skilled, but i still think his very best trick that puzzled me the most on all those shows was the very first one: The egg.

The first one he's using an egg magic toy, after its growing he switched the egg toys with the real one. Second choosing a seat, the pen is dead so actually the paper is already got the marked that's mean he got friends on the audience seat. The last one, she has a twin just use a little magic effect than its done. Watch her clothes spot carefully from the first one 3:27 with the second 3:52 after she travelled, the spots are on different place. One mistake that he made is why he's not using or making clothes with the same spot place.
