The note was instantly made and then put inside the pointer, and then it shot out when it popped the balloon. Whatever made that noise inside the balloon was basically never seen.

I saw these guys last year at butlins they were amazing. My daughter loves them. Well done guys.

yes but july 8th 2025 is a tuesday. In Britain, we use day month year so july 8 would be written as 8/7/25 whereas august 7 would be written as 7/8/25

I've been a student of magic acts for 40 years and that was just beautiful and so captivating that I was totally willing to totally give up on looking at the mechanicals of this one. Beautiful work 👏.

Need some more proper close up magic. None of this with technology. Easily explainable. Props to the 3rd person updating the video in the back

The problem is these computer tricks have become so commonplace as to be completely uninteresting and repetitive. Everyone is building "magic" around hi-tech manipulations that the element of surprise by the judges seems to be part of the act at this point. Seen this a million times.

The judges and ant and Decs reactions along with clips of gormless audience members is all part of the act. Surely most people at home just yawn and see it's technology. It takes the magic away from physical magic!

There is someone editing the video while they are asking for the honeymoon info. If you notice in the video, they don’t say the amount they will spend out loud, but they rather show it on a piece of paper. The rooms number is also shown on the coffee mug.

I'm shocked

Any magic has obviously got technology behind it these days and we can easily delve into the answers of how they managed to do it, however, it’s all about the presentation and wonder so why do we feel obliged to discover the ins and outs of the trick? Just take it at face value and enjoy the magic!

Notice how on the metro the day is Tuesday but the 7th of the 8th 25 (7/8/25) is a Thursday. Wrong there guys very very poor magic! One of the worst magic acts I've ever seen. Even some kids are better than that.

@@Force9Storm judges weren't involved, they don't need to be for this trick. It's really easy. Notice in the "time travel" video the only thing the performers said out loud was the place, Blackpool, and everything else the judges picked was only shown as text. Blackpool was also the only part where the judges weren't asked to freely pick whatever they wanted, but rather select a card. Getting someone to select the card you want is one of the first tricks any beginner magician will learn and the rest of it is just a simple matter of someone off-stage quickly typing in the dates, numbers and name chosen into pre-prepared, template after effects on a pre-recorded video where certain frames have placeholders (kind of like a green screen in movies). The computer then only has to re-render a few dozen frames of the overall video, which takes only a few seconds. Done.

@@Force9Storm again they simply don't need Simon to be in on the trick, it's very easy to have a control mechanism to force someone to select the card you want. The reason the strings looked curled on the close-up is because they're all attached to a control mechanism (in this case, very likely threaded together, with the exception of the couple of cards they showed as examples which were of course then placed on the ends of the stack where they wouldn't be picked) which means only one string can actually be pulled to release a card. In magic, this is called a force. You're giving the participant the illusion of a free choice but there's only one selection they can possibly make.

It’s not that impressive, just some quick editing was done whilst they were getting the judges to say number. Very clever but it’s not something to go “wow about” it’s literally just an edited video hence why he didn’t even say the date out load

I am so sick of these so called magic acts where you use the judges as puppets and deny it all. I did see the curled up string on the Blackpool tag ... I'm not stupid ! Totally hated all of it ... the entire act was based on Judge selection ... Boo to you both.

What a load of rubbish! In this day and age even a primary school child can see it was all done by technology and someone working quickly behind the scenes. Funny how all the reveals were written rather than spoken even though technology could easily have had the blokes voices reading them out.

That's currently still beyond the means of an average laptop, whereas pre-programmed after effects with text placeholders aren't. Give it another five years and AI will be able to fill in the right parts so that in the video they're saying the chosen numbers etc. out loud with perfectly matching lip movements too.

Boring, the judges need to watch some good magicians.

Definitely not “cheap” it’s some really good vfx. Especially the fact they did it in that time frame. They must of done some projection mapping with some nested sequence and then just simply changed the text if that’s even possible but not sure how they rendered it in that time

I like the act alot and hope they go far in the competition, but if anyone is interested how it is done scroll down; 1st trick with the balloon - that piece of paper was never in the balloon, popping it was just the distraction as the magician discarded it on the floor pretending it had come out. It had been written on when he was briefly behind that board, once the date had been picked so he knew what date to write. 2nd trick - the only real magic here is making sure Simon picked Blackpool, which can simply be done by most good magicians, there are multiple ways of doing this as its a very common trick. Such as all the cards in the middle are faced the other way and all actually say Blackpool, with the clever shuffle all the strings will lead to a blackpool card. Like I say multiple ways of doing this part of the trick. The video was all prefilmed ( obviously ) in Blackpool and using some very clever AI and editing, it all showed the correct numbers / dates etc. Note they forgot to change the date from Tuesday to Thursday on the newspaper as they changed the rest of the date. Plus they dont physically say any of the dates / number, its all images which can be changed with the correct video / AI software. Still a class act though. I have based all the above on this TV utube clip, obviously I wasnt there so based it on how I would do the trick from what Ive seen on this small clip.

Simon does actually believe in magic... Can't say i blame him.. this is magic not matter how you perceiiit..still magic.. the real magic is in how an act makes you feel.. like i get si.... I feel that.. its important to beleive..
