Two things: 1. I've been watching this program since c.1979 and love everything about it, but no character in that whole time has moved me quite as much as Clara Oswald. There's something about her character, how she grows, how she relates to the Doctors, that is just extraordinarily special. And 2. I love Gran! Thank you for bringing both of those back for me with this video.

Yes, she was the Doctor's best companion by far. Because she was so smart. Especially the best companion for Twelve, who also was the best Doctor of all imho.

I like how the way you weave the story together it's so easy to accept that 11 and 12 are (is?) the same man. It doesn't matter whether he's wearing Smith's or Capaldi's face, there's just one man in there who cares for Clara.

"how about we just...don't"? That breaks my heart

That scene that the Doctor was talking to older Clara is proof she had feelings for him in this incarnation too. She fancied/was in love with Eleven and I think her feelings never went away after regeneration but probably thought he'd never see her in that way. Danny Pink was just a rebound; their relationship felt forced imo.

i dont think danny and clara's relationship felt forced , i really enjoyed watching them. but i agree with you, i think it was also obvious that the doctor had feelings for clara too. the doctor was so annoyed by danny because the doctor was kinda selfish. he scared to lose clara since day one & i think this is why it felt forced

I don’t think the older Clara was real though, wasn’t it all a dream? Clara loved the doctor but she loved him like a best friend. I always saw both 11 and 12 as Clara’s closest friend, the only person she could trust and rely on. Old “Clara” even says there was one other man after Danny but it never would’ve worked out. Because though he was a great man, she didn’t love him that way.

@@saltydenny3429 She pretty clearly says it never would've worked out because "he was impossible", not because she didn't have feelings for him. When she says that "there was one other man" that matched up to Danny, the phrase has a romantic subtext. Someone who you don't have feelings for really doesn't count as "matching up" to someone you did. Saying the Doctor is "impossible" is a reference to Clara's pragmatism. The Doctor is a 2000 year old alien that doesn't age, which makes him an "impossible" choice for Clara to be in love with. It doesn't mean she's not. And, yes, it was a dream but, both Clara and the Doctor were in the dream together (that's why Clara immediately asks if she's young when she wakes up). The conversation they had in the dream was very real and they both remember it. That dream is, actually, the deciding factor for why they start traveling together again, because they've now seen what Clara's life would be like without the Doctor and although it turned out fine, they'd both rather spend that life together.

This cloud sequence is surreal. Knocks and moves are just on time and exactly where we need them And the regeneration scene going into the last Christmas scene, it took my breath away Magnificent as always

-s b- by the way thanks for appreciating the timing on the knocks and moves cause that was definitely deliberate, I had to play with the scene cuts and "speed" of the clips so that the knocks and the way clara instinctionally steps back from the TARDIS matches the music!! You know when you do stuff like this, hardly anyone notices it except smart souls like you, but if I didn't do some scenes on time, the out-of-timeness would be so OBVIOUS!! And it just distracts the viewer. So I have to be careful with these things

Dr Who came of age with introduction of Clara. It was no longer a children's story. It became mature and ripened into a full blown love story. The portrayal of the two main characters made you look forward to the next episode. Peter and Jenna made in heaven for this show. Beautiful.

I can’t understand how anyone could hate Clara after seeing this. They just don’t have a heart.

The scenes where there's older Clara and then young adult Clara made me realize just how similar Clara and the Doctor's story is to Howl and Sophie

I never really watched after the Tenant era, so I missed this character. I was never any more than a casual fan and other interests claimed my time and attention. Clara Oswald didn’t exist for me. I went all this time ignorant of the perfect storm of character, writing, and actor. To say that Jenna Coleman has screen presence is a gross understatement. She exudes charm, intelligence, adventurousness, resolve, courage, humour, confidence, vulnerability, curiosity, resilience... hope... I’m reminded of Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. Come to think of it, Bogie’s Rick does essential same thing as Capaldi’s Doctor. Huh. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ms. Coleman brought us a character that represents everything each of us wants to be. That’s not hyperbole. Clara’s will is palpable. She wields her dialogue like a magic wand. She can make you laugh one second and break your heart the very next. Clara captures The Doctor’s heart and makes us believe that everyone’s favourite Time Lord has finally met his match. This is what they call acting, fellas. I have a feeling that I have some binge watching in my near future.

Oh my stars I miss Clara so much. I loved the relationship between her and the Doctor. It was so beautiful and heartbreaking Awesome video

And yes I agree that the video was a bit christmassy, I even considered uploading it next christmas but then I thought, this is how I feel about them right now and I am mesmerized with this song right now, and I might evolve to editing videos differently, and hopefully better in the upcoming months so I just posted it :D and let's be fair, most of their sincerest interactions happened in Christmas specials, which is why I hold them close to my heart :) thanks for watching and always supporting me!

I hope so because they've made us wait definitely too long. I'm glad you decided not to wait for next Christmas because this video is so beautiful and any day without it would be a waste. This video is so beautiful I cried remembering she was captured by the Daleks and made into a Dalek. Run you clever boy and remember.

clara did a lot of amazing things in her time in the box. she literally help save the dr home planet.. she saved the doctor uncountable times when she entered the dr timeline. and that's not to mention a few planets and earth. Id say that's pretty good.

Wow such a beautiful tribute to Clara I still miss her unfortunately I won't be watching this years just my opinion I think it's going downhill which is disappointing as I love doctor who such a shame but I love re watching all the great ones

Oh my God I am crying so much, I just cry and cry and cry, My kids are starting to think there is something wrong with me. I have even stopped eating bacon. I cried because I saw a piece of dirt in the road the other day, and I thought how Clara would have looked at that piece of dirt in the road. It was beautiful and I am sure it would have made her cry because she is not the Doctors boyfriend or something. So thank you for making me cry all the time because I have nothing better to do.

Seen a few of ur other videos and at every single one I'm astounded by the quality and hard work you must go through to make these videos keep up the good work

Theirs was a platonic love, a bond so strong that neither of them could support it. May we see them together again one day somehow before Clara must meet her fate. They we were meant to be together, too bad it couldn't last.

I just now realized in watching this the whole thing about them helping each other with the Christmas cracker. Oh and yeah, I always believed they were in love. What was the music used in the video?
