The name Nic Fit was a typo on a forum for “Nice fit” bc veteran explorer, cabal therapy, and pernicious deed are a “nice fit”. And so the most unfairly fair deck was born

I love how the one Eldrazi that Ali played was better than an entire deck of them

It's nic fit short for "nicotine fit" which is what you send your opponents into in the long drawn out games you play with this deck in legacy, if they are a smoker. Which was a common attribute for tournament grinders back in the day.

I played against Ali at a PPTQ! Super nice guy and an incredible player. Of course he was playing U/W miracles in modern when I faced him 😂

Oh man. Nic fit is soooooo sweet

16:10 was the moment I knew Nic Fit was my new favorite Magic deck. Holy shit.

True but it ended up not mattering, Aintrazi could have just flashed back Innocent Blood after saccing Snapcaster to one of the Therapies and left Martinez in the exact same position

So for those who are wondering. The deck name Nic fit comes from the first article where it was featured. The title of the article was supposed to be "Nice Fit" but due to a typo it was titled "Nic Fit" and the name stuck

I was once given a game loss for revealing the top 2 cards of my library when it wasn't possible at the time. And that was at a much lower stakes qualifier.

Nic Fit's name has two prevailing theories. Nice Fit, as in a nice fit for the meta. Nicotine Fit, as in the deck took so long to play if you were a smoker you'd get ancy for a smoke.

Jose Martinez slammed a Karn fast and activated it without giving his opponent a chance to figure out what it did and he didn’t get a violation he just got a simple rewind

So if you have a name in MTG you don't get game rule violations illegally casting things but if you're just a normal guy they stop the game for 10 minutes. NBD.
