Wonderful photos from a fascinating area - and even a spot of Morris Dancing. I'm glad to see one old tradition is still going.

You can still see Morris Dancing, the tradition has been preserved and mostly performed at special events.

As I used to work for a recording company and can read music, choice of music is important. I try to get away from bland wallpaper music that can do for anything. It was difficult with this production but 'In the Mountain Country' by E.J.Moeran evoked the right mood and in the more animated section I could switch visually to Whitby and it seems to work, even though initially I had doubts. After all, AV should be a partnership on a 50/50 basis between visuals and sound.

Derek, I have been a follower of your channel for a number of years. I love the vivid colours in your videos, beautiful scenery, knack for choosing excellent compositions and, most of all, your in-depth knowledge of photography and down to earth common sense advice on all aspects of photography. Well done and bring us more videos!👌

5:25. One of my photographic passions is to take pictures of other people taking pictures. That was a good one. As others have mentioned, good choice of music too.

Thank you for your comments about taking pictures of other people. In my case, I avoid it unless permission is obtained in advance as the picture could end up on KZread. Choice of music is very important and when I make that decision, I try to find something that can be related to the location in title or mood. Research here is important.

Greetings from Germany The Yorkshire Moore’s are one of my favorite places in the UK, with actually Grosmont as the place to stay. And congratulations, you really captured the “magic” very well. Excellent video ✅

Thank you. One of the railway shots is the train coming up the incline from Grosmont.

Beautiful photos, and lovely choice of music. It certainly could be a difficult choice with so many composers who wonderfully distill the British soul in addition to Moeran (Vaughn Williams, Butterworth, Britten, Walton to mention only a few).

I agree that there is a lot of wonderful British music to choose from but felt that the Moeran at least in title, 'In the Mountain Country' came closest to representing the North York Moors although not directly about the place.

Thank you for your comments. I share your views about offering something different in these challenging times. I don't wish to be reminded about local and worldly matters from those who cannot offer solutions no better than I can but as you say, I can offer an antidote, an escapism in which I do have a dedicated skill.

Thanks for the video. Were your photographs taken with your OM-5 and 12-45 f/4. Wonderful colors and vistas. Appears that some photos were taken at wider than 12mm. Perhaps 8-25 f/4?

The images are all from stock taken before Covid and on earlier Olympus cameras from the E-1 to PEN, but not OM-D. Shows just how good their digital cameras were then!
