@Tommy Walker If you were intelligent you would listen to enough successful people and they all say the same, making your first million is just as hard as making your first 10 million/100 million. If I were to judge your intelligence, it would be "I'll go nowhere in life/10".

  • @scarsofzsasz

@@marer1000 Yea. To expound on that, in this particular context he's saying that at this point in his position, he has millions of dollars to invest, and only a limited amount of time. The time you put into a business deal is roughly the same whether you're risking a million or twenty million, you still do your homework on the details, weigh the pros, potential ROI, etc. So he's saying for people to stop asking him about 100k investments when at this stage he's more into doing 100 mil investments.

It's amazing. When Magic talks, I just genuinely want to listen and I could listen for hours. And I didn't grow up in his era. I'm 21, I wasn't around with the Showtime Lakers. But there's something about a person with so much wisdom and so much influence with such an inviting aura and so much charisma that makes you truly want to be there and experience what he has to tell you. And there's not a lot of people that can do that for me. He's truly "Magic".

Magic is truly the king of LA IMO. Saw him jogging early in the morning near Beverly Hills a few years ago and people were saying hi to him and he was being nice and saying hi right back...wasn't "too busy" or pretended not to notice, but engaged with the people. It's no surprise that he's been so successful throughout his life and hasn't let basketball define him though it was the platform that introduced him to the world. Some may claim Kobe or now LJ is the king, but it'll always be Magic who runs this town.

Hello...tell that to those who hold the race card like a badge of honor and an entitlement. Turn the pain into fuel not self destructive hate. Time to be about the business. Capitalism does not have a color. It is proven...somebody will give you a chance. You only need one chance. The failures pack significant lessons you can't learn anywhere else. Even if it takes 99 closed doors. U only need to prepare for one open door. Can we say Kentucky fried chicken? Does it really matter the reason the 80 doors were never open?? Just saying...
