This could of been a very interesting artistic piece but for the tatty/untidy woodwork. This would of been much nicer had you used some of the dark hardwood family and used professional joints etc. The lamp itself looks cool though.

The concept is awesome! At a distance, it's amazing. My question: is the box itself meant to look old and well used or ... ?? I'm honestly curious. You put work into the planning and execution of the resin but not the box. Wasn't sure if that was on purpose.

It doesn't look old though, it looks new and like shit. That wood isn't meant to be used like this because its too soft and most of the screws stripped out the holes thats why half the screws are sitting above the surface of the wood. Could he not even feel that while sanding? You could pull the top off with one hand its so loose that resin jug on the top isn't going to stay there for long

Very fine, I'm trying to do a one similar... But the question is always the same.. If leds will fail or break, how do you substitute them?.. The only way is to rebuild from zero the entire system of resin (probably the most expensive part of the entire project) 🙄... I'm trying to do this project with some transparent guide in wich I'll insert the leds (vescical cathethers will be good.. And in the guide I don' t pour the resin)... So If the LED will break I can retire it from the guide and insert another one... The only real difficulty is in the round or irregualar tracts in the glass... But I want to try =)

How are you powering the lights? I can't see where the end of the lights with the USB part is, if there is one

Those tiny wire lights are generally run via a battery pack.

How much would you sell this for

I mean... The Idea is great and the result looks pretty good - Especially with lights on. But i dont really like the housing. In the End it's your Art and your Taste but a different and better type of wood would suit this peace of art well. i guess... Nevertheless: Thanks for your Video! Greetings from Germany.

Jep, stimme dir zu ... ein paar Kupfer/Messing-Applikationen und ein paar Brandstellen würden aber schon reichen, um das Holz zum Steampunk-Wasserhahn passen zu lassen.
