Frank Klepacki is a world renown video game composer and musician, most famous for his Command & Conquer soundtracks. His song “Hell March” is regarded as one of the top video game themes of all time. The Tiberian Sons are no strangers to MAGFest, specializing in performing their brutally impressive signature arrangements of various video game themes. @@magfest Another addition: "Full Stop" should probably be indicated as "Full Stop (Warfare)"; C&C 1 had a bunch of tracks that used a different name on the in-game playlist than the names Frank gave them. The actual names were used internally though, and on the game's soundtrack CD.
If in 1996 you told 6-year-old me that I'd be listening to music from Command & Conquer and it sequels played live in 2019 I'd have thought you were crazy

I'm probably going to have to paste this all over this comments section, but eh... People always seem to conveniently ignore the fact WW _sold itself to EA_ after they were nearing bankruptcy due to some failed projects. Yea, EA didn't handle its takeovers well, but still, without them, WW would probably have died _anyway._

@@Nyerguds You're confusing the publisher Virgin Interactive with Westwood Studios. Virgin was bleeding money in the mid 90s, while Westwood had just released Command and Conquer, Red alert and Blade Runner. That's why they were sold, they were a hugely profitable asset.

@@cycadaacolyte6349 I'm not talking about that era. After RA2, WW had a bunch of failed projects, like Earth & Beyond, and a load more internal cancelled ones, and was having a lot of trouble staying afloat. _That_ is when they sold themselves to EA.

@@Nyerguds EA obtained them in 98 from Virgin. As for their other later issues that lead to their closing, that was EA telling them what they could and couldn't develop all while putting the break even point way too high.
C&C and Westwood studios is live even in death What an amazing feat they've accomplished, if only EA didn't exist

@@Nyerguds namely sole survivor :( but they shouldn't have had done it anyway, if they could have started petroglyph from scratch, they could have ressurrected WW after a short period. selling it was a mistake as it made ressurection impossible.
They even played Brain Freeze, this is the coolest thing ever! YOUR FEELING OF HOPELESSNESS IS YOUR BEST FRIEND, SAVAGE!

the crowd actually continued to chant "peace through power" after Kane's appearance at 46:00 but you can't hear anything from the crowd on this recording. Check out the upload from the Tiberian Sons' channel here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/m2F11MR-YMWrgbQ.html it includes the audio of the crowd, and especially the chanting at said part, they do it for quite some time actually.

The insane nostalgia on these tracks makes me remember the exact moment when you'd load into a mission and you'd hear these words: "Establishing battlefield controls. Standby."

Imagine a twelve-years old kid watching the installation sequence and then seeing the game for the first time. It felt so realistic and so advanced. The world changed by Tiberium was so fascinating and one could only imagine, how it is like. And finally, after seeing Al-Qaeda and ISIS, I felt that the game was in some ways very prophetic in its depiction of advanced terrorist structures.

The beauty of Frank Klepacki's music is that it sounds badass while mixing it with some hopelessness which fits the theme of war.
This music is vastly superior to EVERYTHING that has come on the radio for the last 15 years.

This is truely the most nostalgic trip ive ever been on. Jesus christ! God damn good music!
Frank is a legend. Perhaps first game OST band on the planet. 1995 or so. Noone before Frank even on Amiga.
Command & Conquer My favorite series. All games. Strategic genre especially Rts Favorite genre from 1992 to the present.
Grinder - The Best. This is the first track that i heared while Commanding and Conquering via my new back in the days PC. Frank Klepacki thank you wery much! You made my first impression... you made my childhood!

Best metal concert I've ever been to.

I entered to watch very suspicious that the original "almost perfect" songs can't be played live. What a surprise! Fantastic live performance music! Some of the live songs interpretation are beyond excellent. 👏👏👏 I'm very happy that I was able to overcome my own prejudices.

This was and still is amazing, meeting Frank and seeing this show was definitely the highlight for me of Magfest 2019!

good way to start 2019
So much epic in one video that I can't even... actually had the honor to speak with Frank Klepacki ages ago, great guy - and it's hard not to fanboy as all hell when he's created so many awesome moments throughout ones youth. Act on Instinct, Full Stop, No Mercy and Hell March... I imagine the Dune 2 soundtrack would be a bit more difficult to do on conventional instruments, but I'd damn well pay to see and hear that too. TB, I hope you hear this show, wherever you are.

Even Dune 2 OST was brilliant. Still listening to it as it has its own, very unique style and touches me everytime. Loved playing it as a kid. Even though my mum should still be mad for having to hear "warning - enemy units apporaching" and a loooooooot of battle sounds while making lunch, lul
that guitar riff in Prepare for Battle is just epic when it breaks out for the first time

As the guy who put togethet the viz for this show: I am HUGELY sorry to mess that up. I am going to out myself: I had never played the games before, but I spent a month researching the hell out if them. and 1.5months making this. It freakin kills me to mess that one up. OF ALL THINGS. Lol.
