Except for Bach. I say it like Arnold Swarzenegger says it: "I'll be Bach." The way many Europeans pronounce it sounds like a bleating sheep with a head cold trying to clear their throat: "BAAAHHHcchhe." It's amazing how long of a word they turn it into. I say it in a split second. Bach. They milk that one syllable, four letter word for like two seconds straight! They are talking...words are flowing out smoothly, and then you get the verbal stumbling block BAAHHHccchhe in the middle of a sentence that makes one question whether or not there was supposed to be a period inserted somewhere due to the awkward pause that interrupted their thought...and then you find out two seconds later that no, that sentence is still going on! It's like gargling AIR instead of water! In all likelihood I am the one saying it incorrectly. What do I know? I'm just a stupid American! It only sounds funny to me because I grew up hearing his name pronounced a certain way. And usually when I hear that harsh scratchy sound, someone with poor manners is about to spit. It is not a sound I like associating with a man whose contributions to music were so vast and who was the shoulders that future composers stood on. Music would literally notbe the same without that man. He even gave us Equal Temperament tuning! To me, Bach sounds elegant. To my ears, BAAAHHHHccchhe sounds as if it is an insult or a curse word. But hey, at least half of the world says it the long way. And I will freely admit I am no linguistics expert nor do I speak German. I do not mean to offend. I only wanted to offer my perspective in a witty way. 😊

So the version I got off of IMSLP has a B half note as the penultimate note of the left hand in the A section, and a leap down a 10th to the low G. Is the version I found wrong (for those curious, it says page 47 on the top right of the page - Bunte?) or are there different versions of the piece? I can see that the rest of the piece is otherwise rather friendly for new players/small hands, but I kinda prefer the sound after all this practice. Granted, I'm biased but still. Anyone have any insight?

К сожалению, я не понимаю, о чем рассказывает преподаватель. Я взрослый обучаюсь в музыкальной школе. Minuet in G major, BWV Anh. Тоже самое касается и его темпа kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWmuxKade5DRp84.html Unfortunately, I don't understand what the teacher is talking about. I am an adult studying at a music school. Minuet in G major, BWV Anh. I learned 114 by heart and can confidently perform it at any tempo. But when I perform it at the Magdalena tempo, my teacher says that I play very quickly. We must remember that the minuet is a dance. And no one dances at such speed. In general, I perform this minuet at approximately the same tempo, if not slower kzread.info/dash/bejne/foSkyLp_ZLW_iKQ.html At the end of the video, the minuet BWV Anh is played. 115. The same goes for his tempo kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWmuxKade5DRp84.html

to say this is his "most popular piece" is quite an overstatement. Even more so considering, that many do not believe that the Toccata in D-Minor is his...that should have been the piece for this video title, really. It is still a nice video, though.

The French and English suites are all composed in common dance forms of the time (except the English preludes which I believe are just meant to be audibly enjoyed)… however, if anyone wants to add to this, or correct me, please do. I play a lot of Bach but I’m not academically fluent in his catalogued musical output.

The production team should learn how imbalanced is the sound level of your voice with piano sound. The speech is too low, and it should be equal in loudness to the piano. They should use a good close up for yourself and no mic for the piano, with good mastering for the speech.

Anyone who wants to play it should care that it is not Bach's composition, since Bach has his specific style and you need to know how to interpret it. Also, anyone who ever composed something respects the rights and honors others composers, it is a "principle" thing. Also, some of us care enough not to be ignorant, especially if it is not such a hard thing in this case.
