Mafia Bosses & Mississippi Burning | DOUBLE EPISODE | THE FBI FILES
Ойын-сауық
John Gotti: Convicted: By December 1985, John Gotti had assumed his place as the new Don of the Gambino crime family in New York with the assassination of his boss, Paul Castellano. The “Teflon Don” felt secure in his position, always remaining one step ahead of the law. But he was also the ongoing obsession of Bruce Mouw, leader of an elite crew of FBI agents formed to bring down the Gambino family. With the help and genius of his Special Projects Squad, bugs were planted in Gotti’s most private meeting places. After years of setbacks, Mouw had enough evidence to arrest Gotti for murder. When the FBI convinced Gotti’s underboss, Salvatore Gravano, to testify against him, the jury came back with their verdict: guilty on all counts, including the murder of Castellano. Gotti was sentenced to life without parole.
The True Story of Mississippi Burning: On June 21, 1964, three civil rights workers, two white and one black disappeared in Mississippi while passing through Neshoba County. A massive FBI investigation led to the recovery of the bodies of the slain men and physical evidence was recovered and analyzed. The FBI labs confirmed that all but one of the bullets used to kill the men came from the same gun. The FBI gained the trust of an informant, whose information led to the conviction of seven local Ku Klux Klan members.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

You want to read The Race Against Time, by Jerry Mitchell. It gives the entire context. These murders (my cousin was one of the three) were ordered by the then Governor of Mississippi!!!
To this day, it still wrecks my mind, body and soul how cruel and heartless the killing of the civil rights workers was. What’s more crueler is people today would rather talk about John Gotti ( which is an interesting subject) than the murder of three innocent young men in the summer of 1964 of racial hatred.
I got Netflix, but I rather watch these fbi files🔥

@hubes96 I know that the FBI wouldn't want to talk about his involvement, but the producers on the TV show might. It is a TV show, after all, and not an official case debrief by the director of the FBI. Im sure the show knew about Grega involvement. He did actually help find the bodies and that is a pivotal part in the whole case.

Who is Binge watching these ?
So after his best freind was caught blabbing on a wire… Then many others including himself were caught on wires before this time but They couldn’t get him. Please help me understand why any of them would ever talk without heavy background noise? How hard is it to keep a radio on at all times especially when you know they are after you day and night? I’m stunned
I know an FBI agent through family and he said there are sealed files and the real reason Sammy the bull ratted is because the feds found out he was a homosexual and they said if he didn't cooperate then they'd out him for being a homosexual and the mob would kill him for it or he could cooperate and leave jail live in a nice hotel get a small sentence, either choice he took there was no more COSA nostra for him ,so he took the deal to not be outed,it's said he killed his brother in law because he found out bc he was fuckin the same kid that Sammy was,he had the 19year old kid killed to but there's none of that on his record bc they swept that one under the rug so not to out him ,it's not included in the 19 murders he talks about all the time, look into it ,I did and it looks to be true ,but who knows for real,I also recently ate at the restaurant where Jimmy Hoffa was last seen it's in Michigan in a Detroit suburbits called andiamos now, great food ,cool piece of history

Important note: the FBI is portrayed here as installing the Castellano bug in his dining room. This is wrong. The bug in the Castellano house was installed in the base of a floor lamp next to a large meeting table in an area adjacent to the kinchen. This information (with pictures) comes from an FBI book, the title of which escapes me.

It was , the contract for Demeo was given to the Gotti crew but they were either unsuccessful or wanted no part of it. Under Demeo he had Muder machine crew , the Westies , the Ice Man ( liar or not still a deadly murderer) just those 2 alone is a deadly band of cowboys that no mafia wanted any part of. Gaspipe had to have Demeo's own crew members get it done.

With 1 captain for every 6 men its astonishing how anyone made any money,a fair few turned witness because they were piss poor broke and if they went away for big time their actual family would've been without any money. In the New York City neighborhood of Howard Beach in Queens, the child was struck by a speeding drunk driver. Neighbor John Favara had been so intoxicated that he didn’t even notice when he hit Gotti, nor when he kept driving for 200 feet as locals screamed for him to stop. Frank Gotti’s blood trailed down all of 87th Street. At the time, John Gotti had recently established himself as one of New York’s most notorious mobsters. He had only just been released from prison in July 1977 and become a made man, a high-ranking inductee that neither civilians nor criminal adversaries dare touch without formal consent. Nonetheless, Favara apparently showed no remorse at hitting his son. Favara drunkenly shouted about the boy’s recklessness and didn’t even clean his blood-spattered car in the days that followed. When Frank Gotti died, his father solemnly booked a trip to Florida for his grieving family - and that’s when John Favara disappeared forever. Nobody was ever charged in his death, but legend has it that he was dismembered with a chainsaw and dissolved in acid.
