@Juka Zarich When did she say this that she preferred the PSB version? Stuart Price produced the original version. And he went on tour with her to support the album. Did she really say PSB version was better than his?

+Rey Robles - That don't make any sense. Madonna wrote the track Sorry. Even if she had worked with Pet Shop Boys on the song, still wouldn't of changed the fact that she wrote the song. She doesn't just write lyrics, she also co-producers most of her tracks.

+Damien Darko What Aaron Ventura said makes complete sense. It is a Madonna song remixed by the PSB. He didn't say that PSB wrote the song he said "they enchant the song with their style". To remix a song means you modify a song that was already created. To enchant implies that magic is used to make something better or different. If you've ever heard a Pet Shop Boys song you'll notice that it has their signature sound all over this mix. Madonna may have co-produced this track but the Pet Shop Boys made it sound like their own with the love of Madonnas voice. I agree some of the drum rhythms sound Maddonesque but it is an original Madonna creation so how can it not.

QUADRUPLES the originals completely dance stance. Madonna (along with Neil Tennant's full backing vocals) was eventually the only version she presented in concert. Oh and Stuart Prices' reason for being IS Pet Shop Boys.. At 18 during the NIGHTLIFE tour he resolved to work with PSB.. He's now been their exclusive producer for 7 years and two albums ELECTRIC, SUPER and their forthcoming opus

I could imagine Madonna being the type of person who would've have deemed The Pet Shop Boys as being beneath her or at least not really a big enough name to be associated with at the time when Heart was being released. But when you look at the list of music artists who have had collaborations with the PSB now...

This is incorrect. According to Neil, they did write the song for her but were too intimidated to give it to her so they just ended up recording the song themselves. She’s stated on several occasions how much she loves them, and probably would’ve recorded the song had they actually sent it to her.

I'd never pay this song any attention, hadn't it been for PSB's masterful remix. It got amazing.

@27cricket27 apparently it was Warner and Guy Oseary who convinced her to go for a more urban sound, and he introduced her to Timbaland. Still waiting for MadonnaxPSB collab.
