The 1990's was the last decade of great music!!! After the year 2000, the music started sounding the same and the music has become much more depressing. Music nowadays has become so angry and dark!!! When I listen to music nowadays, I get to sad and depressed. Artists sing and rap about depressing things. Music back in the 70's, 80's, and 90's were much more fun and happy!

Music has became silly, and pop music now is all about sex. Even Erotica, few songs are really about the theme... But Blackout from Britney, is sex from begging to the end. I like her, just saying. Ray of Light is a mature album.

Todays music is like the background music of hell. All about getting attention as fast as possible. There are not even a proper intro or musical parts in any track anymore. Even love songs are just obsessive and toxic. I think it's because of sole materialistic mindset and lack of philosophy.

her patience with the journalists at this press conference is absolutely eye watering. some of the questions, reiterations and delving into personal life details is enough to make you want to get up and leave. art is to be interpreted which ever way you please, personal attachment to songs is no concern. an artist will include a track bio on the sleeve if they want their audience to know any more detail than what has been sung.

Yes, let's talk about her music. She was articulate and pretty patient, actually.

If you ever thought Madonna was a 'dumb bimbo', this will change your mind. She is so intelligent here!

She’s actually so intelligent in many videos. It’s astonishing. More people need to be aware they are too stuck on how she acts on stage or in tiktoks now and it’s like girl that doesn’t mean she isn’t wise. She’s just being silly she’s being Madonna

I think of her albums as a privilege, a portfolio/journal , worth exploring

To add onto the person who commented before… two years ago she had less surgery than she has today. This is common in the industry with big stars. Chers had it done, Mariah… it doesn’t mean the person isn’t the same and if you look at Madonna you do still see her, but she’s also aging in an industry that is not only sexist, but ageist. I don’t know her reasonings for doing the surgeries.. I never will act like I do… but her face isn’t who Madonna is. I mean sure obviously it is, but it’s truly her heart and her art.

how interesting, in 1998, when the only time she asked a journalist where they were from, it happened to be that they were from portugal !!!!!!!! … i think, in hindsight, this just shows how prophetic madonna is, most especially during this time in her career and her life … ray of light is the pinnacle of her most amazing artistic career …

This is hard interview to watch . They really ask a lot of personal question rather than focusing on the creative part of the record .

At about 9:45 she says "all what awards," in response to a question, indicating how few awards she had won in relation to her meteoric career. I can't help but remember that she finally won 3 Grammys for this very album. Finally.

awards back then where so much more political then they are now, her along with allot of other daring artists such as David bowie where blacklisted for years.

One of the most uncomfortable interview in herstory! The questions are darn stupid at its best and a big yawn at the lowest.. Madonna handled it very well! Omg I'd laugh at their faces already.. You can tell how she feels on that certain question just by the look in her eyes lol No real questions about the music just random things for the sake of asking to look as if the reporter actually listened.. Thanks for posting!!
