Madonna simply is and always has been an ever evolving human being. It is apparent (especially in this ever cruel day and age of social media) that people are having a hard time understanding that concept.

Girlie Show was her greatest tour. Theatrical and dramatic, diverse yet cohesive, presenting several of her most spectacular performances. A sumptuous amount of creative energy from the worlds foremost performer, her brother and the musicians, Dietrich, Donna and Debbie nodded in approval and applauded from the wings.

These old interviews and the cut aways to the songs make me happy. The times when music, superstars and showbiz felt real. Now it all sucks!!!

The press and critics beat the hell out her over the Erotica album/Sex book/Body of Evidence movie trifecta. They were not holding back being cruel to her.

Did anyone else notice that the interviewer was hot for Madonna. The way She was looking at her, leaning in towards her and especially the way she kept playing with her hair. Very flirty. Also, Madonna's voice is so deep here. I LOVE IT!!!

I have to say they were friends, she had interviewed her before , they liked each other and started a friendship that lasted for years.

she really knew what she was doin with Girlie Show& the whole concept. it is so calming and amazing listening to her interview in this documentation. I love you, Madonna❤️ if her timeline was devided into 2 era, the this is her mature era (before Evita) Ps: I love how they include the MTV commercials here😅it showed what had been around at that era🥳

The Girlie Show is one of my favorite shows from Madonna and Erotica is one of my favorite eras 💚✨Glad she did this version of Like A Virgin! It was a brilliant entertaining idea✨

This show contains not one but two of the most brilliant moments in pop history ive ever seen; one is the studio 54 section (with she appearing on a descending disco ball, singing Express yourself, then deeper and deeper, then why it's si hard with that multirracial orgy, then in this life all alone on the stage) and the other the cabaret section, specially like a virgin and i'm going bananas/ la isla bonita. It took my breath away.

Madonna is an icon ! the queen of pop ! in Paris, France it's was amazing !!!!

I remember this MTV show with Maddy! MTV's golden era! I recorded it on VHS, but didn't know English that well as I do now.

I have this recorded on VHS as well. Along with a whole lot of other Madonna interviews. This was the golden era of MTV

Love that look on her 😊 she's so spiritual and intuitive and she knows how to tap into it 😄 she works so hard as well

Such a damn shame she didn’t follow through with writing an album with the girlie show band and going for that live feel. That would have been something. This is the most amazing band she ever had and I always thought the bedtime stories album sounded weak, uninspired and paled in comparison to the dynamic sound of the girlie show which immediately preceded it. So strange to go from killing it vocally on that tour to wispy, barely there vocals on the following album, which although nice enough, is a bit of a non event

her face really started slimming down by the 90's huh
