No prob. This album, Bedtime Stories, was a deep foray into R&B. Also this album was an answer to Erotica, with which she caught a lot of flack. She never got to tour this album as she was filming Evita. The album is worth a listen.

The artist rapping on this is Meshell Ndegeocello. She had a couple cool hits. If that’s your boyfriend he wasn’t last night and an absolute soul touching song called Beautiful. You should check those songs out especially that last one.

Hi Jack - still loving your channel. I PLAYED THIS CD OUT!! So many FIRE tracks on this record - "Forbidden Love", "Human Nature", "Secret" was the lead single. Madge wanted to pivot from the "pop" moniker, so she collabed with the best at the time - that's meshell ndegeocello on the rap - she's a phenomenal, unique musician, check out her version of Bill Wither's " Who Is He (And What Is He to You)?".

Great reaction and you’re right her voice is perfect for RNB. She’s a very versatile artist: as a matter of fact when first started to get play play on the radio with the songs Holiday and her first top ten hit Borderline most people didn’t know how she looked like and they assumed that she was black. It wasn’t until the Borderline video started to get shown on MTV and her standout performance of Like A Virgin on the very first VMA awards in 1984 that people realized that she was white. Also if you want to see her sing a song in an more completely different style than her usual Pop song; you should definitely checkout out her Iconic performance of the song Sooner Or Later at the 1990 Oscar awards. It’s a song from the film Dick Tracey and she did amazing job with her vocals and stage presence

Bedtime Stories is her R&B influenced albums and one of her best. Highlights are Love Tried To Welcome Me, Forbidden Love, Take A Bow (those two were written with Babyface). Her album before that, Erotica is great. Amazing hip hop-ish production, not really what you would expect from her. Waiting, Where Life Begins, Deeper & Deeper are highlights.

Shoo Be Doo is a deep cut from Madonna's early Like a Virgin album that I can recommend, also Angel from that album. On I'd rather be your lover, the riff is by a male rapping; it was originally recorded by Tupak but he withdrew ultimately. Madonna and Tupak dated secretly as well so as not to negatively affect his image

Bedtime Stories is my favorite Madonna album. Dallas Austin did most of the production on the album with some Babyface and Bjork. There is a version of this featuring Tupac but I prefer this one.
