It's so ignorant and entitled to assume just because an artist is popular that means the entire planet heard their music. We are billions in this planet, we don't listen to the same things and don't all like the same things instead of judging people because they don't know things we know we should embrace them for trying to discover what we like. After the mini rant, I absolutely love this album, every single of it were perfect to make you want to listen to it. Get Together and Isaac are my top 2 but the entire album is just beauty for my ears. It's almost 15 years and it's crazy.

Agreed, also Hung Up was #1 everywhere in the world but ''only'' peaked at #7 in the US, so it was easier to miss it there, it's been also almost 14 years...i'm just glad AJay is discovering Madonna now, there's so much more to check out....R&B albums, ballads, pop and electronic albums...i'm really enjoying this Madonna marathon. She always keeps it real!

Confessions is definitely my childhood album. From November 2005 to the end of 2006 it was in constant replay at home. My mom bought it because of Hung Up (here in France "Hung Up" was one of the biggest successes of 2006), and I'm still listening to it today. Probably my second or third favourite album. Its production has aged so well. Madonna is iconic.

I think it's just that Madonna likes making artistic albums more than chart-topping dance albums. She made this as a comeback after the negative response to American Life, which was much more experimental and controversial, knowing that an entire album of catchy dance tracks would be a hit (and it was). Maybe since Madame X hasn't been a big commercial success she'll do another album like this next to draw the masses back in.

It was so sad that she didn't release them due to the leaks because it was pop brilliance (ok it might not have been at the same level of Confessions, but those songs are damn good). And I think Rebel Heart in general deserved better than got it got, all in all what we got was a solid album. Madame X is an odd one, I loooove Batuka and Gun Control, but the real gems were the not made into singles. Not sure what she is thinking, but it is also a good album.

AJayII, it gives me so much pleasure to see your reactions!! I was a big Madonna fan as a teenager and I still consider her as a pop masterpiece. I love your sensitivity to music and I think you can understand the phenomenon of Madonna. :) It's unbelivable how captivating her music is, knowing that she's not trained musically. I recommend you seeing her videos and tours. You'll look at her music from another dimension.

I do hope M15 is a dance record. Madonna does it best with dance music. She makes you stand up and dance. She's a great dancer from her early years. Years by years, decades by decades, there have been many dancing moves trends, she caught them and used them well. She even studied traditional dances from other cultures. Hope it'll be a big hit, just like COADF 🥰 I hope you guys & I make it to #1 BB200. Please, let's celebrate her 40 years into career. Pleaseeee 🥺

my rankings: 12. i love new york - 7.3/10 (i like the rock guitar dance fusion, i just wish she had spent more time on the songwriting) 11. push - 8.1/10 (i listened to it again recently and i definitely enjoyed it more than i usually do) 10. how high - 8.2/10 (i think the production is cool and i like how madonna references her own journey on the way to the top of her career) 9. let it will be - 8.6/10 (i love the strings especially when they swell towards the end as the tempo speeds up) 8. like it or not - 8.7/10 (i almost think this song would have worked better on american life, and it would have been one of the better tracks on it) 7. isaac - 8.8/10 (listening to it again, i do think that some of the instrumentation is quite beautiful so it’s one of my favorites) 6. forbidden love - 9.2/10 (it’s pretty silly that madonna released a song called forbiden love on this album when there was already a song called forbidden love on 1994’s bedtime stories album) 5. future lovers - 9.3/10 (i think the reason why i love it so much is because it reminds me of bedtime story) 4. jump - 9.4/10 (i’m glad this was a single but it basically flopped, which is too bad because i love this song) 3. sorry - 10/10 (i remember being disappointed that it was chosen over jump as the second single but it was definitely the better choice because it was more obviously catchy) 2. get together - 10/10 (i love that it’s a dance song but it’s not a typical in your face dance track like hung up) 1. hung up - 10/10 (i’ve always been disappointed with madonna’s arrangements for this song on the sticky and sweet and mdna tours)
