For a brief moment, she had it all: beauty, glamour, power, and the very possible Vice Presidency (unheard of for a woman in Latin America at that time in history). Juan was the President of Argentina in name only: the heart and soul of the country rested with Evita. She had EVERYTHING but time. May she rest eternally in peace and power.

Antonio Banderas is a bloody god!!!! is there anything he can't do??? Hes an actor, he's a Director, a producer, a singer, a dancer, a voice artist , a comedian, he rides horses and motorbikes, he has the most beautiful accent, OH and he's Amazing to look at!!!! only 1 problem... he's 52. bugger!!!!!

Madonna played a great Evita. Bandares played a great Che Guevara(not that i admired Che). I saw this movie when it came out in ‘96. I recently bought the blue ray. It’s so good! Love it! I know that Madonna was expecting her first child when she did this movie. Although I was never one of her fans I think this was the best thing she’s ever done…imho. She needs to get off the stage now and let us remember her like this😉

What Madonna forgot that Evita was always a creature of the street - fighting- Elena Roger captured that element so well - Madonna in this sequence is almost regal and she was hated by Buenas Aires society
