This was the infamous season where Saturday night live was almost canceled But I bet you if you compare it to what Saturday night live is like now the 85 86 season actually comes off as pretty funny

I remember when she was on and it was one of the biggest things of the eighties! Think I might even have it on videotape somewhere from a rerun on VH1, lol. Wow, forgot that was when Hall was a cast member. Not the greatest season but a great cast!

I realize everyone changes since they were a teenager but if. you see Anthony Michael Hall now, it's shocking that it's the same person. He just looks, sounds, and acts so different. I think he tried a little too hard to shed his endearingly nerdy image and tried to transform himself into this man's man.

I was like 10 during this season and would try to watch SNL whenever I could. A few years later I would know an actor named Scott Plank... he was friends with Sean Penn. Madonna would call him and leave answering machine messages like, "Hey Scott, it's Madonna.... can you come over? Sean tied me to a chair and I can't get out. I had to dial the phone with my nose."

At just 17. A majority of boys stop growing in height at 17/18 . I was 6'2 at 17 and I still am in my 30s.

True but I'm pretty sure some still grow a bit at 16 to 18 if they started puberty a bit late

Huh? It's quite common to achieve full height at that age, or roughly 16-18 in general. Other parts of puberty might still be happening but height tends to complete a bit earlier. We all remember those classmates who already nearing 6 ft tall before they could they could even drive.

The episode wasn’t a disaster and the ratings were very high. Overall though the season because of the weird cast changes was considered bad.

I've never seen someone grow so much from age 14-17 as Hall. Madonna had to make her hair stand strait up so she didn't look like a midget standing next to him.

I was as 13 or 14 then and staying up late to watch late night programming. Dave Letterman was way funnier than this cast of SNL. Dennis Miller saved the show.
