Ten years have passed in the blink of an eye, and Madoka Magica is still one of my top series of all time. Naturally, the soundtrack has won a special place in my hearth, not only because it is out-of-this-world good, but because it really takes me back to those good ol' days.
Definitely, nostalgia hits hard when it comes to music.
Decretum (Sayaka's Theme) is one of my favorite tracks of the OST. I have always wanted to cover it, but I was not sure how to arrange it until a couple of weeks ago when I stumbled upon my old and dusty flute. I studied flute for a couple of years during middle school and never looked back because at that time, unlike the piano, I didn't see a lot of practical value on it. However, I thought that maybe it could be the right tool for the job. Hope you like the result!

if only they had offered this piece to us back when i was in high school orchestra. Its deep and enriched tune and cords give a depth and feeling of inner calm that belies the moment this song is played in the anime. I loved Madoka Magica the first moment I was able to watch it. I was thrilled to see someone perform a rendition with multiple instruments. I appreciate and love your talent. Thank you for such a beautiful song. You brought tears to my eyes. :)

Speaking of Sayaka, this is the song. The flute is the best. This is the first song I heard from Madoka Magi's song. If possible, the song I want you to play at my funeral

I use Madoka music in my D&D for major places/scenes/battles whenever the opportunity presents itself without too much abstraction. There was one really big world-shattering campaign-end reveal I had planned, once, that was going to use the music from Rebellion with, uh... staying vague..... the burning train and crashing blimps.
Flutists are underrated! Go flutes!

@@george.m7 I have small hands so I struggle to reach the roller keys! It seems like no matter what size hands/fingers you have playing the flute and reaching all the keys the “right” way is impossible lol. Anyway keep up the great work! Your videos are awesome :D

My heart breaks into infinite pieces when I hear this OST... Sayaka is one of the most human character I ever see and this OST is the *perfect* description of her pure despair. I play flute too and I'd love play this OST. Do you know if a sheet exist ?

Sadly there are no flute sheet as far as I know. I play this by ear. I would probably look for a Piano Sheet and play the right hand part. Thanks for watching btw! :)
