Madmaheshwar, one of the Panch Kedar, is located at an altitude of 11,500 ft appx in Uttarakhand. The trek starts from Ransi village which is around 20 km away from Ukhimath. To reach Ukhimath, you need to take up a journey of 200km+ from Haridwar. Out time of the tour in the last week of May, 2023, incidentally coincided with Char Dham yatra. There was scarcity of transportation.
We started pretty early in the morning and managed local private cars to reach Ransi at around 1:00 pm.
The next day we took wonderful trek through the dense forest of this terrain.
The trail is steep, full of stones underneath making it difficult to negotiate with the steep ascent. Plus, we encountered heavy rainfall in between.
I have shared in this video every details of fooding, lodging, car rentals available along with things we must take to make this trek comfortable.
