In Run BTS (I forgot which one), when Jin became referee and must decide about something between Jimin, Tae and JK. Jimin said (jokingly), hyung you have must fair because I know you always prefer JK - and Jin only smile sheepishly.

석진이가 정말 신기한게 형라인들이랑 있을때는 오히려 형같고 동생라인이랑 있을때는 더 동생같이 하는 밸런스가 진짜 좋아요... 멋있는 사람이야ㅠ 그래서 오히려 동생들도 형한테 선 안넘는 기준이 잘 잡힌것 같아요.

진이 섬세한것은 막라에는 막라에 맞춰서 놀아주죠. 진짜막내 정국은 어려서 연습생이되고 낯을가려서 진이 일부려 말걸고 영상에 한번이라도 더나오도로해주고 먼저 장난쳐서 좀더 형들 어려워하지 않도록 해주었죠. 뷔같은 경우는 자신도 막내같은 막내가 아니라 형들 사랑고파서 귀여움떨때 너무 사랑스럽게 봐주고 챙겨주면서 상처받지않도록 사랑받고있다는것ㅇㄹ 상기시켜줬고 지민이는 자신이 잘챙겨주는만큼 다른 맴버의 사랑도 고파할거기때문에 늘 붙어있으면 내색해주고 이쁜말해주고 토닥여주면서 잘하고있다고 해주죠. 형라에서는 슈가야 과묵한데 자신앞에서만은 무장해재할수있도록 귀여워해주고 인정해주고 이뻐해주고, 남준이는 리더로서 어려운걸아니까 기댈수있는 어깨를 모두내어주어 남준이가 진을 바라보는 눈빛은 가히 애정뚝뚝일수밖에요. 호석이는 모두를 웃기게 해주어야해도 진만큼은 본인이 먼저 웃게 만들어서 진에게는 잠시나마 넋 놓고 웃을수 있는 아지트 같은 맘같아요. 모두가 모두에게 자신의 자리를 내어주고 하나로 만들어진 서로가 없으면 나의 한부분이 사라진것 같은 공허함이 있을것 같기도하고요. 정말 이뻐할만해요.~~~~

That's exactly one of the reasons why i like them so much. The connections and relationships between the members they shows us feels real and genuine. Even between the oldest & the youngest xD. Except of the leader RM and maknae jungkook. 3 hyung line is a maknae in their own family, and 2 maknae line is a hyung in their own family. I think that's what makes the group balance really nicely. i think it was rm who said jin is bts secret weapon. i truly believe this is what he meant, jin set the tone for the group to be as close as they are now. other groups don't have this kind of chemistry. ppl wondering why bts is so successful because there are plenty of artists who have good music and dancing. they don't look group chemistry as the most important factor. that's why rm said jin is their 'secret' weapon. I'm happy this video coming from real koreans prove what I've always thought about jin's super important role in bts. their secret 'IT' factor.

yes, you're right that jin doesn't see jungkook rude. jungkook is one of the most respectful person i've ever known. he's always respectful to people not only to elders. but jungkook and jin are like brothers. and also even jungkook plays around, he loves his hyungs so much.

During interviews they would often say they met and became members of bts in order to raise each other 😁👬😘 Seeing them act and play like they have the same mental age, JnKook created the best of friends in each other 🥰

They act like real siblings. Jin creates a good supportive atmosphere. He acts funny and like a child making the younger members comfortable and doesn't impose authority, while Jungkook plays alot with Jin and pranks him but is still always respectful. Love their relationship. All of Bangtan members have a uniquely close relationship with each other which is real, another reason i love the group.

탄이들은 어떤 멤버랑 붙여놔도 케미가좋아서 보는것만으로 힐링이되요.. 진짜 친형제라도 저러지못할거예요 전우애같은게 있는거 같음.. 정국이 형이 제가 받아줄께요 할때 진심임이 확 느껴져서 울컥했네요

애초에 방탄이들은 싸움을 만들만한 성격을 가진것도 아니고 맏형인 석진이는 동생들에게 나이가 많다고, 자신이 형이라는 것을 강요하지도 않아서... 오히려 각 멤버들에게 친구처럼 대해줘서 모든 멤버들이 친근하게 다가갈수 있는 사람이고 막내인 정국이는 가끔 형들에게 장난치고 그러지만 선을 넘지 않고 필요할때는 그 누구보다 형 대접을 잘 해주니까 멤버들 사이에서도 구설수가 없는 것 같다. 7년차에 불화설 1도 없이 더 친해지고 있는 이유가 다 있는거다.

I like what you guys said about how the oldest member sets the mood. In the starting of BTS, before Jin joined the group, Yoongi was the oldest member of the group and he clashed a lot with Namjoon because Yoongi doesn't have a very goofy personality and doesn't open up to people very easily. With Namjoon having his own power/responsibility as the leader, they didn't get along well. Jin becoming the oldest helped a lot because he would be there to act as the oldest, and would make the atmosphere fun and comfortable for the others, stepping back to allow Namjoon to fulfill his duties as leader, while also being there for everyone as the dependant and caring oldest hyung.

I love they always call SeokJin "jinnie"

어디서든지 맏이가 중심을 잘잡는것이 제일 중요하더라구요.진이는 뒤에서 편안하고 유쾌하게 팀을 잘 이끄는것이 보여요. 보이지않게 굉장히 중요한역할을 하고있죠 !^^

석진이가 다큐에서도 말했는데 맏이라고 자존심을 안부리고 잔존심을 제일 쓸데없는것이라고 생각하기때문에 더 멤버들과의 사이가 좋은것같아요

진과 슈가가 진짜 친한데..영상은 별로 없더라구요.. 장난칠때는 정국 지민 뷔랑 친한데 진지할때나 그냥 쉴때는 슈가랑 잘 맞는거 같더라구요.. 둘이 진짜 잘통한다고..둘은 그냥 힐링친구인거같아요.. 동생들이랑은 좀 많이 내려놓고 편하게 지내려고 격없이 지내는데..석진이 성격이 원래 꼼꼼하고 그런데..많이 바꾼거같아요

슈가랑 진이 정말 잘 통하죠 슈가가 진이랑 있을 때 동생미 뿜뿜하면서 심적으로 기대는 모습 보일 때가 간혹 카메라에 잡히는데 그거 보고있으면 그렇게 마음이 좋더라구요 둘이 낚시도 다시는거 보면 그래도 형아들끼리 취미 생활도 같이 할 정도로 마음이 맞아서 다행이구나 싶기도해요

Ever since I was an Army back in 2017, being a new army then, I was watching all the videos on YT and the interaction with these two stuck with me. It’s truly unique. You can see the bond. Being non Korean, I didn’t understand how big a deal age gap/ difference is. I see how they are so close to each other and the true admiration and connection they have. Yes, the maknae can just be playful towards Jin and Jin just has the fondness on his eyes and not see it being disrespectful or rude. I think this closeness stems from the incident when JK was very young and he found life very difficult and “quit” and returned to Busan. Jin went after him, promising JK’s parents to look after his needs and “growing pains” more carefully. Needless to say, JK was convinced, Jin would have been 20 and understood the additional responsibility and of course he was the maknae in his family.

it is nice to watch a video like this from a Korean perspective that not just about music but also the values and traits of our OT7 that you admired also and trying to apply in your own lives.. it is not easy but it will be a good start.

Idk if anyone in the comment section explained it already or not; but I just want to share my thoughts abt their relationship (as brothers) a.k.a chemistry... Both of them entered the agency almost at the same time, both of them were invited by BigHit to join the new group. So, they knew each other quite right away from there.. JK was the most talented singer at the moment, & surely Jin noticed that. But sadly, for some reasons JK almost left BH before they even debuted. Jin was the one who brought comfort for the little JK in a new-strange city. He brought JK to his family home, treated him as a part of his own family. Did nothing but just that, created comfort & eased the fear of the young JK (15y/o at the moment). Jin even the one who drove JK to school & picked him up from it! For Jin, Like others said in here, he is the youngest child of his family. U know, psychologically, he could choose to act like what the oldest usually do; since he can't do that at all in home. Kinda, revenge; bcz he finally could take an advantage of being the oldest. But he never choose to take it, he choose to empathize with the younger boys instead. That's why he usually acts so childish, maknae-like. And yet, Jin is still taking responsibility of all the members' well being, as an oldest child should be. That's probably why he has the best relationship with his younger members that I've ever seen. He diminish the boundaries with his younger members by being childish playfully, but he also being there as a madhyung who cares for his younger brothers so the members don't lose respect on him. Being this two opposite, isn't easy, u know.. He should put down his ego as the oldest, lower to the ground; & yet he takes his responsibility as the oldest, higher to the sky.. From this perspective only, Jin really has a good heart, a golden one.. For JK, As u know from my first explanation, he's practically saved by Jin. Although all the other members take a good role as caring hyungs as well, Jin took that huge part in JK's life since the very beginning.. So u can see, despite of having the utmost respect & admiration towards RM, JK is most grateful towards Jin. And I believe he has different feelings towards the others too (& it's perfectly normal!). JK is an emotional person. He got a job when he was just a child, when he was just an empty bottle. Just like what he said in his song "Begin", all the members filled the hollow parts of him with their own parts, & made him who he is today. His gratitude for all his hyungs soar high to the point his only pain is when his hyungs are in pain. That's why he becomes the funny guy, the one who is the exact opposite of his original self; just to put the smile on his hyungs' face, to create bright atmosphere in his hyungs' days.. He must be thought that's the only thing he could do for his hyungs' happiness.. we know it's not And JK's crazy side + Jin's childish side = what a marvelous combo! Jin doesn't only want to erase the boundaries with his childish act, he also loves seeing people laugh bcz of his doing. It brings his own happiness. And JK being crazy bcz he has a mission too (I mentioned it b4). But as u can see, there's no clash between them, when they throw jokes on each others. Bcz there's that understanding, it's just a joke. I believe it's also bcz JK knows his boundaries. When Jin is being serious, he takes him seriously too. Bcz, Jin surely still has his pride of being the oldest, & the younger members still need to respect that part of him. When Jin is being serious but the others take him lightly, jokingly, it won't end up well. Or, u know, when we are really close with someone, sometimes we are careless with our actions; even just with our body language, we could disrespect them unintentionally too. But in this case, I believe JK awares of it too, & careful enough for not hurting Jin.. This ship is one of the best combo, imo.. I especially love the combination of Jin's unique laugh + JK's cackling sound.. it never fails to make me laugh too 💜 (WOW, what a comment 😅.. sorry 🙏🙏)

it is nice to see this as an American from a korean's perspective because while I know a little about the age hierarchy in korea, I'll never really know just how rare their friendship is because they don't let the age gap hinder their closeness. also I'm sure that people judge jin or jungkook for acting that way towards each other, either calling jin childish or jungkook rude but I'm glad that while they both recognize and respect the age gap between then, they don't let it act as a barrier between then. sidenote i always found it confusing on the age hierarchy how even if you a day apart but from different years, you still have to use the honorifics but if you're 11 months apart like say someone's birthday is January and another's is December that same year, you can forgo the honorifics even if you have a wider age gap, but correct me if I'm wrong.

As the youngest in the house, I've always been envious of the relationship that jungkook has with his hyungs..like..I wish I could have a healthy relationship that bts has..of course it requires effort to be with a connection with the people that are beside you, that you've met but there has been countless of times where I open up about my feelings and thoughts and I've been shut off completely and have to act like nothing happened a day or a week after it....

You can actually feel how close they are.. I love Jinkook!

우리 방탄 영상 다 본후에 두분이서 도란도란 나누는 이야기가 참 좋아요. 두분 케미도 이쁘신거 같아요~

ㅋㅋ 근데 그거아세요? 석진이 장난을 정국이가 받아주는거라는거ㅋㅋ 석진이가 음 ㅋ 듬직해서라기보단 처음엔 챙겨주려고 그런마음이였을것같은데 이제는 정국이 없음 그 장난끼 누가 받아줄지 ㅋㅋ 그리고 ㅎ 정국이 힘장난 받아주는것도 석진이가 그만큼 힘도쎄고 체력도 좋고 하니 잘 맞는것같아요 정국이가 운동해서 에너지가 넘치거든요 그거 받아줄 멤버는 석진이뿐ㅋㅋ 예전 음악방송 대기실때 였는데 그 운동좋아하던 정국이가 석진이랑 운동하는데 팔굽혀펴기 ㅎ 정국이가 힘들다고 그만하자니까 열번만 더 하자고 ㅋㅋ 그런거보면 정국이를 참 잘 케어해주고 정국이가 원래는 낯을 마니 가리는성격이고 샤워할때 옷도 막 멤버들 잘때 샤워하러가고 막 그럴정도였는데 석진이가 정국이가 연습생시절 힘들때 자기 본가가서 부모님집밥 먹고 그러게끔 진짜 괜히 우스개소리로 키운거다 라고 말하는게 아니에요 근데 이런케미가 이 둘만있냐 머 이미 알고있을수는있겠지만 저는 이렇게 어느 멤버와 붙여도 이렇게 케미좋은 그룹은 본적이없어요 진짜 잘맞고 이정도의 서로간의 끈끈한 일화들이 다 있어요 ㅎ 하 그건 차차 다음에 볼 케미영상에서 말씀드려볼게요 ㅋㅋ 항상 영상 재밌게 잘보고있습니다~
