Madhubala much much higher than any other actress of this generation, her beauty, her remarkable acting skills her expression of eyes her mesmerizing smile,her Aura her simplicity, her down earthy nature of mixing with every people her simple leading life (as per as reports) made her not only a marvelous actress but also a great human being, in those days Hollywood was ready to team up with her at that time. She used to come on the cover page as 'International Superstar' on an international magazine. She without any nepotism without heavy makeup without cosmetic surgeries, entered the industry ruled the Industry and even after 60,70 years her films shows she's still ruling and on the top.

So glad to know Tabassum Ma'am that you worked and interacted with Madhubala ji many times. So she belonged to a royal family from Afghanistan. She indeed had a wonderous beauty and grace like a queen. Good to see you saying good things about Kishore Kumar. There are some journalists and some in the internet community as well, who keep portraying Kishore da as an indifferent husband. But I had read some old interviews of late Ashok Kumar ji, who had spoken a bit after Madhubala ji passed away, that Kishore da was a good and very caring husband. Notwithstanding his eccentric ways, Kishore da never scolded, hurt or hit anyone. Kishore da just used to say that film industry is so heartless and after money that he wants to leave Bombay and settle in his native Khandwa. May both Madhubala ji and Kishore da rest in peace.

She didn't come from a Royal family in Afghanistan...but she was fully Afghan from both her parents side. Just like Dilip Kumar who's real namr is Yusuf Khan. Many Afghan Pashtuns, known as Pathans in India shaped Bollywood earlier. Feroz Khan was also Afghan for example.... So was Amjad Khan. Zeenat Amans ancestors where Afghans, Parveen Babi came from the Afghan Babi clan etc. The three big Khans od today also habr Afghan ancestry. All theit grandparents moved to India from Afghanistan. Shah Rukh Khan still calls homself Afghan. Salman Khans grandfather came from kandahar Afghanistan and Amir Khans grandfather from Herat Afghanistan.

Dilip Kumar was a child snatcher...he was dating Saira Banu's mother and then married her daughter. Sick man! And he had so much ego and gave Madhubala so much pain! Had it not been for Kishoreji she would have died all alone. Yes God didn't want Madhubala to marry such a egoistic man when she was suffering and in pain.

At 8:23 you have played a part of the song ‘Do ghadi wo jo paas aa baithe’ from the romantic thriller Gateway of India which was a one night story. Her other memorable performances were in Barsat ki raat, kaala paani & ek saal. Her last movie to be released in her lifetime I believe was the 1964 film Sharaabi with Dev Anand.

Actually they both loved each other madly even after when Madhubala married Kishore, Dilip was single and was waiting for that magical moment if she becomes his wife, but Madhubala's father was against this marriage from the beginning and Madhubala did not want to upset either of them. Dilip Kumar then told Madhubala to choose between him and her father otherwise the relationship will stay broken like this because of her father. Madhubala then chose her father and this is where Dilip Kumar told her that his relationship with madhubala has broken permanently. He said that all in the heat of the moment but still did not marry anyone else until he saw Madhubala married to Kishore Kumar. Their relationship got worst when Dilip Kumar took side of the director of the movie Naya Daur for which Madhubala was signed against Dilip Kumar and then her father forced her to leave this movie and that did not go well with the director and took them to the court.

Thank you Tabassumji, as always, enlightening us on yet another beautiful soul. Mahal was made in 1949, which means she was just 16 years old then. She looks so poised, such grace and beauty. Ma'am, this is the first time where I felt, at the beginning itself, when you say "Aur aap dekh rahein hai, Tabassum Talkies..." there is so much sadness in your voice. And rightly so. A beautiful soul, gone way too soon, suffering hardships in her brief life. In the beginning of the talk, you mention that, very briefly, Madhubala found true love in Premnath. What happened later? You did not elaborate. Thank you Mam, once again, I look forward to Tabassum Talkies every Monday now just as I looked forward to "Phool khile hain Gulshan Gulshan" on Doordarshan in my childhood.

@shushma chowdhury : Dear Shushma not only the Prem Nath, so many Legends tried to love with Madhbala and tried to marry with her, first of all famous film Director Kedar Sharma fell in love with her but she doesn't respond him as she always respect him as a senior artist, futher famous Producer Director Kamaal Amrohi entered in her life he was also interested to marry with her even her father also known that Kamaal Amrohi wants to marry with her daughter but Kamaal Amrohi was already married hence she said him, first you divorce your wife than I will marry with you, but he does not agreed to divorce her wife, further Legend Actor Shammi Kapoor entered in her life and he was also interested to marry with her, but she didn't respond him, even Shammi Kapoor tried to propose through her Mother but she (Mother) clearly denied for this relationship, further during shooting of Mughal-e-Aazam Ex Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto also entered in her life at that time Bhutto Saheb was present at Mumbai for his education and he always present on the set of Mughal-e-Aazam to watch her shooting even he took lunch several times along with her and he fell also in her love and interested to marry with her, but after completion of his education he proceeded to Pakistan and got busy in his politics than Prem Nath arrived in her life further incidence you know better. @shushma chowdhury : Shushma dear relationship between Kamaal Amrohi and Madhubala its created during the work as I read some where but it is not confirmed weather it is true or it's a rumour and I never listened from Madhur Bhushan's statement similarly incidence between Kedar Sharma and Madhubala, even between Shammi Kapoor and Madhubala also read some where but above relationship I never heard in Madhur Bhushan's statement, may be these are the rumours.

Kishore kumar don't even care for her he always busy in his work and rarely extract any time for her.

Beautiful presentation of a beautiful person. I believe Madhubaalaaji was not only beautiful externally but internally too. Otherwise the tragedies of her life would not have affected her so. Right from childhood till the end, her life to me appears somewhat similar to another Tragedy-queen Meenaakumaariji. Thanks for the episode Tabassum Aunty.

Her dad is real culprit of break away from Dilip Sahab and her death.

Memcha Laishram kuch bhi? Both were in a longterm relationship. But, acc to Dilip Kumar, her father wanted to make only romantic movies with them and dilip kumar wanted to experiment. Her father forced her to drop out of naya daur which lead to court case in which dilip kumar sided with BR CHopra. This lead to break up!!
