Classic British motorcycles are known for their quirks and often unreliability, but that wasn’t enough to deter Greg from owning a 1959 Triumph Tiger T110.
Greg, who has a late ‘90s Ducati and a ‘20s Rudge-Whitworth in his collection, added the 1959 Tiger to his stable with open mind of experiencing something completely new.
It’s just another chapter in Greg’s motorcycle-fuelled life - he’s owned plenty of Japanese and Italian bikes over the years - and you could say it’s been a learning experience keeping the iconic Triumph running.

Have a photo of my father holding me as a baby in 1957 sitting on his Tiger, in later years when I was old enough to ride on the back of a motorcycle he had sold the Tiger but we rode everywhere on his Honda 305 SuperHawk. I love all the old bikes have 6 old Hondas and would love to get a Triumph.
You have got something very beautiful. Years ago I had 1954 Triumph T100. Even to this day I will say it was the loveliest bike to stay in my memory. Ride it. Love it and you will never regret having it. I certainly envy you.

Hi, YES I had one back in the mid 60,s , as the Bonneville,s were like hens teeth . It got me to work and back and loads of fun .

Another great video. That's one of my top three dream bikes. I bought an old 70's Honda CB750 two years ago so I could start riding and learn basic maintenance. I'm slowly working my way toward getting an old Triumph.

Beautiful old bike - they are great to ride . . .bit of smoke from the exhaust though . . Top end overhaul might be coming soon !

As a owner of a 1969 Triumph T100S I always told my mates when we were on group rides, "unless I'm on fire, keep any critical comments/tips to yourself". It's a joykill to have someone telling you mid ride "you're smoking a little on the left" when there's nothing you can do about it at the time and the bike's running nicely to me.

@@admiralbeez8143 I would want my mates to tell me if they saw anything untoward, indeed I would be concerned if they didn't, if my bike has a problem I want to rectify it before it gets worse or irreplaceable components are damaged . .
Does she consume oil on the right cylinder?
Once they are in your blood, they tend to stay there , the old stuff is a far-more engaging experience, nothing like the modern ..zip zip plastic-fantastic
