Very good video. You took me in my past. My father has served in this shed in as electricr wireman. Your information is exceptional. I want to add one thing MG 3 Up/4Dn Thar Express was also running between Mir pur khas to Chhor and 11 Up/12 Dn was also running on loop line. 3 trains were running via MPS-JRO-NKT-PHO-MPS and 3 on opposit route. I hope this shade will re-start as hub for newly planned section in thar desert.

In Germany, rail fans collect money to restore vintage locomotives. I am living in Esslingen Am Neckar this city was famous for Maschinenfabrik Esslingen AG (ME AG) that was famous for locomotive production. Now some former employees run rail fanning club that maintain the historical relevance of city and locomotives. I think we shall try to work on that kind of model to restore some old steam locomotive

YD= Yard Diesel.. India still has some heritage lines where diesel and steam of YD class r working. One is operational on Mavli Marwar section . Other is on ooty conoor section

Y of YD is not yard.. Y stands for metre gauge.. And the Metre Gauge steam locos in India are either YG/YP class, and the X Class running in the Nilgiri mountain railway.

@ 5:47 that wheel has a threading that pulls out throws the eccentric. This is used to reverse the steam entry into the cylinder. In rare case it is used as a brake during shunting operations. MG locos were made by TATA based on Krauss Maffei Germany.

Sahi farmaya ki main line (broad gauge) se iske number opposite hote he. Jese ki 7up ko main line par 7down kaha jata he. Aise hi India me meter gauge or broad gauge me isi tarah reverse numbering system thi.

If i remembered ,the section of Hyderabad- Mirpurkhas was also in meter gauge, which was converted into broad gauge first then Mirpur -Kokharapar section was converted into broad gauge.

Loco shed has deteriorated with time. These locomotive should be preserved not set in motion.

Better to return these locomotives to Bharat, they don't deserve to be sitting like a bhikari in a dilapidated state just like Pakistani wazir-e-azam They can find a place in the many regional rail museums across Bharat or be put up on display outside our railway stations Where they will be painted and cleaned regularly and decorated with LEDs to be lit up at night If there are any broad gauge steam locos there, then do return those as well, they will be restored and be made fit to run on our main lines along with our present restored broad gauge locos
