"FAKE SUBMARINER" ! Why is it some people can't wait to make this statement ? All your trying to do is ruin someone else's moment . There nothing fake about this watch or the others Steinhart ,Phoebos,Invicta, just to name a few maybe they are making a affordable homage so other can afford a nice looking watch also . Buy what you like and can afford and you'll be happy with you collection . Just sayin

I love my Marc & Sons 044. Feels great, well-balanced on the wrist. No backplay on bezel, great finish on bracelet, great ceramic bezel with very good lume, nice 300 ft. rating. Mine has a Miyota 9015 which I love. . . I think this is a wonderful set of watch components/elements being offered by Marc & Sons, and it feels so good it's an everyday watch. Didn't have your bezel play issue; the clasp doesn't bother me since it's more substantial than a Seiko bracelet's clasp might be. I'd call your model the "British Racer" due to its nice green. Very good color combination, really wonderful. Mine has a black ceramic bezel and a white face; sub homage stuff, but a classic, and I hope the white face keeps the Rolex fans from sniffing at me. Very nice watch for the buck.

The distortion from the side through the sapphire glass means it's a single domed sapphire crystal. If it was double domed it would be clear from all angles. But that doesnt mean it's bad i prefer it single domed. I think for the money it's a very nice watch

Hello and greetings from Berlin, Germany First of all what is this that nonsense that today all complain about "pressed" clasps vs. "cut out" ones? For decades Rolex used the thinnnest pressed sheet clasps for their watches and people payed and are still paying thousands of Dollars, Euros or whatever for these watches...but in a 300 Euro Watch it's a NoGo? Secondly the Marc & Sons watches are build together and made by SORDI Watches, Voghera from Italy. SORDI Watches are unfortunately the last independent producer of watch cases in Italy. They produce cases, bracelets, bezels, movement holding rings (I don't know the english word for this, but you know what I mean) etc. by themselves and build watches together with the other components for following watch brands: Davosa (in Switzerland), Squale, Marc & Sons, Mondia, Philip Watch (in Switzerland), Marcello C. (in Switzerland), Quondam, Momo Design, Pirelli watches, a few Steinhart models (also in Switzerland) and a few more. The partner of SORDI in Switzerland is the CHRONO AG in Solothurn. Together SORDI and CHRONO AG is by far the biggest private label watch producer in Europe and as far as I know the second in the world after FULLSWING from China. That's why so many watches from different brands just look basicly the same...sometimes only the printing of the brand name on the dial is different. But that is absolutely no reason to be disappointed! Private label companies like SORDI and CHRONO and FULLSWING make it possible that everyone can buy such great watches for such a little money! Because watch making is very expensive and Switzerland for instance invested hundred and hundreds of millions of FRANKEN in the watch industry in the last hundred years to make it going. thirdly the term "Made in Germany" is not defined and protected by any German law like "Swiss Made" for instance. You just have to be a company located in Germany where you pay taxes etc. but it does not mean that your entire products have to be build and made in Germany...so keep that in mind!

  • @JustOneMoreWatch

+Lars Bokermann hello Lars! Thanks for the comment. Very interesting to hear about SORDI and about the lack of regulations surrounding Made In Germany. I have another German watch coming in, I'll be sure to ask the owner. And regarding the clasp, well Rolls Royce used to use carburettors, but that doesn't mean they are ok in the current market! Personally, I think that milled clasps are a must from about $200 upwards. Marc and Sons cut a corner and saved a dollar or two, but they did their watch a disservice in the process. Cheers! JOMW.

Very nice watch, at first glance I dismissed it as another submariner homage, but it is actually a bit more like a Deep Sea, though 2mm smaller in diameter (which is not a bad thing imo). Also, the hands and some of the styling is different enough to not get too many people asking, "Hey, is that a Rolex?" I also really like the dome on that saphire. Btw, I would like to see a collection video, if you could make one.

Just got A MSD044 with white face and the 9015 myiota movement..got it off ebay for 139.00 pounds , it has a few marks but the weight and finish of the watch are superb, this model is coming up to two years old and after 10 days on my wirst and off occasionally is keeping time to -0.4 secs per day over ten days which is by far the most accurate mechanical watch i have,,believe it or not though..just got an Invicta 8926ob on a Amazon flash sale and after three days that is running 0.00 ...my most expensive MIDO automatic is running at plus 9 per day..just shows you..but anyone who thinks the Invicta or Tissell is a better watch I can assure you they are not as i have all three..only bummer is the clasp but im going to try mine on a new strap ive ordered from Marc & Sons themselves..I wil update you all...BTW do you have a facebook group page I can join..I love the videos..Im a fellow celt..albeit Welsh...keep up the good work

I have owned one of these pieces for nearly two years and they are absolutely solid! This model is a bit too colourful for my tastes though, the originals were all black with mercedes styled hands. Surprised about your bezel though, that play has passed QC unnoticed...For you followup, please put it on a few nato's and straps! It is a gem on any kind of strap, working very well with those curved lugs.

May want to be careful with the company behind it. It feels awfully familiar to a sketchy purchase I made a few years ago, all the way down to the box. Got a "Haas & Cie" branded watch, which is an old swiss company which went bankrupt. Obviously the watch I got wasn't at all associated with the old, fairly famous company but a newer one which was in no way associated with that company trying to use their name to sell watches. There were tons of insinutations and vague anecdotal claims made to hint and make you think of that old company and assume it to be the same. The box yours came in was the exact same one, with a Haas & Cie brand instead. The name also felt very similar down to the style and font. I can't say I'm disappointed with the purchase I made, the watch looked nice, was a quartz movement so, boring but worked flawlessly and wasn't too expensive, it was one of those "deals" that are always 70%+ off on Amazon to seem like a great deal with the inflated msrp. Ended up giving it away to a friend who appreciated it more than I did once I got interested in automatics instead. Could be nothing, could simply have gotten the box from the same OEM manufacturer and have nothing in common with the sketchy Haas & Cie company but may want to look into this company a little further in regards to warranties in case anything goes wrong. This could very much be a coincidence though.

I would rather get an Invicta. I really doubt it is made in Germany. It looks like it is made in China.

This watch is by far better than any Invicta Pro Diver. I have owned both.

enrique arellano It’s only a fake Rolex if it is pretending to be a Rolex. This may have similar looks of a “Sub”..but not even sure this is an homage watch. There are plenty of those on the market and isn’t the Rolex Sub copied from another watch company? I see nothing wrong with homage watches, fakes and counterfeits are a no no in my book.

A steel bracelet with appropriate end links might be hard to find. I go with NATO straps all the time; for their low profile, so no bias here. Then summer arrives in Australia, the benefits of steel bracelets arise.
