Wonderful sermon. I have been sober for over 3 years, and not one "program" meeting, in which you constantly have to confess your identity as an "alcoholic." Proverbs 18:21 says that "death and life are in the power of the tongue," and so I don't want to confess my bondage to this problem, in an attempt to break free from it. Being a "dry drunk" is not an option. I struggled for years, but what I say now, and have for over 3 years, is, "I am not an alcoholic, I have been delivered from alcohol by the blood and grace of Jesus Christ," which I say anywhere, at any time it's appropriate. And I'm a professional entertainer who spends a fair amount of time in bars. But there is no compulsion to drink; I have truly been delivered. Instantly, no 12 steps, just deliverance. That curse has definitely been broken! Thank God.

I can not call this as an encouragement. I call it a fact. This is how God loves us. Nothing can separate us from God.

Pastor; I began my journey with Christ 2 year's ago and when I did I was a smoker and was on medicine that keeps me from withdraws do too the pain pill's I was addicted to. I had this fear of being sick, so I got help but was put on another medicine that I will now have to come off. 🥺 it's all part of my past and I don't want it anymore. However, I am now at this point of fear taking over about quitting this medicine and having all the sickness that comes with getting off of it. I hate it and I have been chained to it for 9 year's now, when I was only addicted to pills for 6 months before getting the help. I should've turned to Jesus and not drug's but I didn't and now I have to go thru this. It has made me lose so much in my life.. how do I get over this fear so that I can finally get off and move forward with this new walk with Jesus? I'm scared to go thru those withdraws again.. all these place's I've sought either costs to much or wants to put me on something else! It's hard
