@@joshuascott4432actually no, the song is about strengthening our identity in Christ, many people think life is all about being sinless, and fighting with sin by avoiding it etc however, being free of sin is where life actually begins, we’re called to much higher levels by Jesus, who wants to co labour with us in that. He therefore makes us free of sins at the cross, so we can now live out the life we were truly made for. Once you accept Jesus, He opens your eyes to new realms of His Kingdom, so we can step into our true identity in Him. Being sin free is not the end goal, it’s actually where the race starts. By this I’m not saying we won’t sin, but because Jesus has paid it all, the sin can’t hold us captive from running the race. It’s an ongoing process, Holy Spirit is in us so He can sanctify us while we continue to run the race.
