Yerba / Yerba Mate is more of a tea (made from dried leaves) though, not a coffee. That doesn't make it less fun to watch you click bottoms though. Your commentaries on what's going on in the game are always entertaining ^^

@@kelawoops Yes, yerba is the word for the loose "leaves" (like tea) and mate is widely consumed in the south cone (Chile-Argentina-Uruguay)

Omg i didnt expect this! This isnt coffee, this is yerba mate! Is a kind of... tea? That has a type of caffeine on it (mateina), if you like coffe you probably would like Mate too! As an argentinian its an everyday thing to drink mate, you should totally look it up!

DF, the "coffee" that you mention is actually Mate, it's an Uruguayan/Argentinian infusion of Yerba (herb) and hot water!

People drink a lot of it in Brazil too. With hot or "cold" (normal temp.) water - although it receives different names depending if the water is cold/hot.

Lol, that was a peculiar way to say "Chimarrão" Chimarrão is an infusion of Mate leaf on really hot water. Nothing more

For years now I've wanted to open a coffee kiosk somewhere busy downtown (Chicago) with a lot of foot traffic, name it "It's Just Regular Coffee," and only sell normal coffee. Sugar and creamer are available. Whenever anyone asks if there's [insert fancy nonsense coffee type here], then employees will be instructed to just say "no" and point at the name of the shop.

That could actually do well! Much better than places like "Just Salad" where they also insist they serve more than just salad.

I’m assuming the aroma is based on how much you can smell it from certain distances and not how it smells, since taste is directly related to smell, so if aroma was based on what it smells like, it would be equal to the taste.

I absolutely love that in casual games like this, that you overlay the Stardew Valley music It just always seems to fit

The difference between chimarrão and Terere is the first one is hot and the second one is cold and you can do terere with some juices, like limonade. Chimarrão is only made with hot water and the weed. Just a little curiosit about the two drinks that we drink in Brazil

chimarrão is not exactly a Brazilian drink, but a southern Brazillian one. (includes other really south American countries such as Chile and Argentina.) yerba mate (rightly pronounce is erva mate) is usually the main and only ingredient, the drink is created to be mainly hot. yerba mate looks like grass funnily enough

Brazilian here, Chimarão as Drink is from natives/indians from argentina but the culture is from pampas/gaucho tradition that its in south of Brazil like you sayed, Paraguay, Argentina and (i think) Uruguay.

Yerba is actually not cofre but instead is a mix of herbs that, a lot of south americans, use it in a infusion called "Mate" and when its serve cold is called "Terere"

Yes. I've had to resort to decaf at times in the past because of health issues, and was desperately hoping that my brain would be fooled. It didn't really work and it tastes wrong.

Chimarrão is actually a southern brazillian herbal drink (mostly from Rio Grande do Sul), tererê is the cold version of that same herbal drink. It's part of our culture and honestly i'm really surprised to see that in a game!

Well yerba is more of a tea than a coffe. It's a drink made of some Paraguayan holly leafs. And in fact it actually gives a boost similar to a coffe but is generaly healthier
