Faith Militello EXACTLY! it pisses me off when people say that since some one has mental issues they should get a free pass to do whatever the fuck they like. Hell, I'm fucked in the head at the best of times but I always try and treat people with respect and if I do lash out I apologise right after I calm down. People that use their mental disorders as a excuse for treating people like shit are just trying to justify why their assholes.

@@kayb5966 my mom had mental illness and honestly living with her was hard they truly don't know what they doing and dont mean it but that doesn't take away the damage they already have done she was diagnosed with bi polar and other things, she would in a way represent nate threating to stab us, kill us, shot us even on mutiple events throw glass at us so please don't talk bad about mentally ill people they don't know what they doing but that doesn't excuse ANYONE to abuse somebody

The saying love is blind had multiple meanings behind it.some people just rather turn their back to the truth because they are afraid to face it. And sadly this is what happened to her. Luckily at the end of the season they finally broke up, Something the didn't want to do but they know that they "Needed" to.

If you’ve read the book called “after” it’s like it in so many ways but one part the main character said was “there’s a difference in loving someone and not being able to live without them” which I think it’s soo true they may think they love each other but they’ve been together for so long seeing each other 24/7 that they wouldn’t be able to live without each other not that they don’t actually love each other,but they may be using love as an excuse to stay together ygm??

Aimee Antoine Hardin never hit Tessa he would never. I've read all of the books and I know their story and they aren't perfect but that's what after is about. They show real ass problems but Hardin genuinely wanted to change for himself and for Tessa and he really did become a good man for her I believe they just needed this time appart (in book 4) to find themselves

Sometimes we hurt the people we love, that's just life, and majority of the time we don't deserve them, Nate's dad even told him that, and even Rue's sponsor Ali told her sometimes we do fucked up shit in life, and she may have traumatized and fucked her little sister Gia up for the rest of her life, she may never know how to love properly or trust, which is a reason why Rue said if she could be a different person she would, not for her but because she knows her family deserves better, but obviously her love for her family is there, even if she does make life harder for them especially her mom. Same thing when it comes to being in a relationship with someone, And yes What Nate did was wrong but I'm not gonna deny that he doesn't love Maddy because clearly he does, love isn't always sunshine and rainbows,it's not a Disney Princess film.... sometimes Love actually hurts, no matter what kind of love it is, whether it's platonic, romantic, or family.

I'm not romaticizing shit here but I feel like Nate is too fucked up causing for him to do violent actions that hurt the people he loved. Yes, he is still an abuser despite the love he felt for maddy and he projects his love in different way. I am waiting for a season 2 because if there's a character development for Nate om doing everything just to get right all the mess he made, then that will shed hope for everyone who is an abuser that there's still a room for change and even tho' there's a long way ahead, that doesn't make it impossible.
